We plan to open again on the 14th April for sensible guests to book. Stiltz has always been a place many of our guests never leave, so get away and never see anyone else in our exceptional holiday home. Stiltz is dedicated to love and romance, connect with that special person, get away and focus on each other with hot tub and surrounding decking has uninterrupted views of the valley, walk in 350 acres of woodland without meeting anyone. The impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our guests and our properties. We care deeply about your safety, whether you are at home or traveling. With this in mind, I would like to share some actions we are taking to help you make informed decisions about your stay or plan to stay with us. A major benefit for us is that we are very rural, and you never need meet anyone during your stay here. Most guests travel by car and we provide private and isolated guest car parking. And within the vast Woodlands and Heaths that back onto the properties, it is very rare to meet other people, and if people are walking their dogs, it is easy to see people approaching from a distance and to go in other directions. For the interim, we have removed all sauces and condiments, tea bags and aromatherapy oils for the hot tubs at both rentals. We will still provide a large portion of coffee beans for the coffee machines in a resealable container (kept in the fridges) which is replaced between guests, so these items you will now need to bring for your own personal use. Stand down day. We have now implemented an additional 24 hours between guests arriving and departing our properties. This is for two main reasons, one, it allows our hot tubs to be drained completely, and two, for us to carry out a full deeper clean, bleaching all surfaces in between all guests. Our cleaners have been advised/reminded on how to thoroughly clean our properties, and have been provided with additional cleaning solutions to ensure this is correctly carried out. This will double the time they spend cleaning our properties, however, we are determined to always continue to improve our excellent hygiene standards. We would also ask that all our guests please also follow government guidelines on hand washing and daily hygiene to ensure we are all working together to avoid this virus. What you can do to stay healthy Whether you’re at home or traveling, the WHO recommends practicing good hygiene to protect yourself against infection — by washing your hands frequently with soap, so we provide hand soap in our properties, we will provide correct strength alcohol-based sanitizer, if it is available for us to buy then we will provide it, but advice is soap and water with robust scrubbing is more effective. The advice of maintaining distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth. So as a precaution we do not plan to meet any guests from now on during your stay, during check-in or check-out, key boxes ( we use anti bacterial treatment between guests on all key boxes) allow you to enter the property and leave with out the need to meet us. Airbnb now are changing cancelation policy and cancellation charges are being updated so guests do not lose out, please check regularly the site for details and you have any problems with COVID-19, we would prefer that you do cancel if your circumstances change, and if we have any problems then you will be notified via the app. We understand as this situation rapidly evolves, we know there is an atmosphere of uncertainty as travellers wonder if they should change their plans and we will do all we can to help with regular information. We have had some fantastic reviews, and we attract guests hunting for what we offer, therefore we want to be clear on what you can expect so you can then have the very best experience and therefore Stiltz can not be suitable for everyone or all tastes, it is very rural and designed for couples wanting to get away from it all. Stiltz has been compared to tree house and would not suitable for every one, so Stiltz is not suitable for guests as the Home access is ONLY by steps and the decking can be slippery when wet, and so please DO NOT BOOK, with children, or Older or limited mobility or Disabled guest, but our other property the lodge is child and Disability friendly and sleeps up to four or five and you can also book via Airbnb. Stiltzs is a building surrounded by decking and is on stilts as it is built on the side of a hill. It is only accessible ONLY by STEPs on both sides as pictured, the retreat has dual aspect decking, allowing you to maximise sun and shade from dawn till dusk, with the best uninterrupted views of the valley and 12 acres of meadows which surrounds our hot tub. This has been perfect for couples wanting a special break away. We have done all we can to make it as comfortable as possible, the luxury inside, alongside the pleasure of watching the sunset with a glass of bubbly at any time of the year from the warmth of the hot tub is something special that a photo cannot capture! The only better experience is that, on a clear night, you can lay back in the hot tub under a canopy of stars, which is something our guests have been amazed by and loved! As the decking is on different levels, we would not recommend it for infants, please do not ignore this advice as it is for your safety! For the same reasons, it is also not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues or disabilities, and again best pick the lodge, also with so much decking if it gets wet, care also needs to be taken for all our guests, and again, some more elderly guests would not find it practical to stay at Stiltz either. It is especially designed for couples looking for a romantic brake from the bustle of everyday life, curling up in front of a roaring fire with that special someone. We are miles away from the nearest village, and access is via an unmade track. Also some mobile providers also have poor coverage in our area too, it is rural with a capital R, so if fast broadband is a must have for your stay, then our location is not for you! The lodge is located with access to 600 acres of heathland and woods close to the leisure area called Top Farm, but Stiltz is completely separate and the field to the south-west has caravans and the field to the south-east has camping pitches, also the camping area can be used for Weddings in the summer and the area becomes busier in the School Summer Holiday periods, however, there is no access to the field around Stiltz, it is totally private, and all the facilities, including the hot tub, are for the exclusive of our guests during their stay and is tucked away from view. However, it’s charm can be felt in the Autumn and Winter months, the area is so quite and it feels like you are the only people for miles around! From the bedroom you can see the same views through triple glazed windows and, when you wake, relax in the luxury ash grey four poster bed, on a mattress which has over a 1000 individual pocket springs with deep, luxury fillings, this is a hand tufted mattress to give optimum support for a peaceful night’s sleep. We provide high quality and fresh bed linen for all guests, with luxury soft pillows and duvet. Many of our guests have said that, when combined with a couple of hours in the hot tub, it has made for the best night’s sleep they’ve had in years! (We also provide, free of charge, lavender, raspberry and other scented oils for use in the hot tub). We built Stiltz for relaxing in, and it is ideal for guests who want to stay somewhere a bit special. Our happiest clients seem to be couples who want to get away from it all, but not to scrimp on comfort! The french solid oak flooring in the bedroom steps you into the travertine stone floor of the ensuite, with shower, basin and toilet, with soft deep towels provided, or your robes provided for the spa. The en suite is clad in hand cut timber painted with soft eggshell. From the shower room step into the lounge, with a deep four-seater, grey, leather sofa, to curl up on for a cosy night in front of the contemporary wood burner, with the option of watching the Panasonic 40" Smart TV, with Freeview TV, DVD player and selection of DVD's. It is unlikely you will feel either too cold or, too hot, as the building is super insulated, but the 5 kilowatt state of the art Scandinavian wood burner can make the place very hot quite rapidly. (The manual has details on its operation), and with a flick of a switch the warm aromatic air can be pulled through into your bedroom. We provide all wood and kindling free of charge for your stay, as it is a must for our winter guests! You can exit the lounge stepping onto your personal decked areas on both sides of Stiltz via sets of double patio doors. To the sun deck or covered breakfast area, all areas can be again fully lit in the evenings. The dining table separates the lounge from the kitchen area, and you will find DAB radio and an Ipod dock for visitors’ use. Both the lounge and kitchen have white bespoke New England adjustable shutters for maximum privacy and shade. The kitchen is well equipped with all your home comforts, seasoning (Tuscan, Italian , French, chilli and others) plus your own top of the range bean to cup coffee machine (Instructions to be found in the manual), also find complimentary fresh coffee beans kept in the fridge for your use also. Dishwasher, toaster, blender and kettle are also provided. Instant coffee and a selection of twelve types of tea bags from herbal to Earl Grey are complementary . Also, all necessities, i.e. dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and cleaning products. The cooking area has a ceramic hob, extractor fan and a large separate combination microwave/grill/oven (Instructions in the manual), also commentary cooking oils, balsamic vinegar, sauces, herbs and spices. To brighten up our kitchen we have a fun, bright orange, retro fridge-freezer and on top you have your very own ice machine. We even provide a full set of condiments, ketchup, mustard, chilli, tabasco and much more! At the end of the kitchen you can exit on to a further decked balcony via the third set of patio doors. This time, the deck has a glass roof, and you can step out onto the sun deck with sun loungers ready surrounded by a glass balcony, so as not to spoil your view! From there you can step straight into the spa, which is level with the deck. With external down lighters outside the north facing glazed wall, these, and all the extensive external lighting, are controlled from the door by the bedroom, which leads you on to the decking. The framed edge of the decked balcony is also lined with stainless steel handrails and cabling. The hot tub is a Catalina XL21000, with twin loungers so you can lay back. It seats five comfortably, and with three pumps and a heated blower the 64 stainless steel jets should not miss a spot delivering the ultimate relaxation. However, if you wish to chill in this idyllic country setting, then pop up the built in speakers, and turn on the CD player, with topside controls from within the tub, or plug in your phone or iPod to listen to your own playlist, and at night you can always turn on the tubs own underwater LED lights. On the decking next to the hot tub are two padded rattan chairs and table, perfect for breakfasts, and a bistro set with low chairs and a table perfect for evening prosecco. Our guests can enjoy their evening with subtle light from blue up lighters on the deck (for safety, champagne flutes, tumblers and wine goblets provided are polycarbonate for use in the hot tub). The decking area can also accommodate hammocks provided, the area to the south has a corner rattan sofas and large table with a 3.5m Anthracite Overhanging Parrassol, and the picnic table and seats with brolly. Additional shade can also be introduced by raising both the three metre sails. This decked area is ideal if you wish to fire up the three burner gas BBQ (Full set of tools provided for BBQing), and with the down lighters in the evenings along the soffit, create a perfect area for relaxation. Beyond this decking is a gravel courtyard, framed with willow fencing adorned with solar lanterns, this area too has a bistro set of chairs and table on the stones safe for those wishing to smoke. but if you fancy something funky one of the two moulded stools lights up, just select your Colour by remote control. If you hanker for straying a bit further in the outdoors, then down the stairs off the decking into miles of woodland walks (map on the wall of the 500 acres in total without crossing a road) or, venture onto the adjacent heathland on bikes, which we can organise hire for your stay if you would like? Even if you clock up the miles on your walk, you will be lucky to come across anyone else, but you will find miles more beautiful scenery without a house in sight. Just as with the views from the decking around Stiltz! We except guests with well-behaved pets, but we require information on your pet before we accept the booking. We want your stay to meet our high standards, and so, we like to change the water in the hot tub every week, but this takes more than 12 hours to empty, refill and get back to the correct temperature, therefore to allow this to happen, we do appreciate a prompt departure to allow us to be able to do this for our next guests. However, if we do not have guests arriving the following afternoon we are happy to be more flexible on departure times, so please just ask. Also, weekends are our most popular time for bookings, so we do discount week nights and longer stays! With only one bedroom Stiltz normally only caters for 2 adults maximum, however, we can also provide a fold away spare bed and the large sofa can be used as a single bed due to its size and comfort, as some guests have wanted to bring their children. However, as previously stated, we do not recommend toddlers or the disabled to stay due to the lodge layout and safety around the hot tub, steps and decking. The car parking space is covered by CCTV for security, but the CCTV does not cover the hottub and private Garden and decking areas. Please browse our pictures, although our guests (and us) don't believe they do Stiltz the justice it deserves!! Why not come see for yourselves!! We do ask for a minimum stay of two nights, this is because cleaning, inside and out thoroughly can take three to four hours. Also, the emptying, filling and regular maintenance of the hot tub has to be completed and returning it to operating temperature can take many hours. We always clean and flush the hot tub every week, and it is only for your exclusive use only during your stay.
We have had some fantastic reviews, and we attract guests hunting for what we offer, therefore we want to be clear on what you can expect so you can then have the very best experience and therefore Stiltz can not be suitable for everyone or all tastes, it is very rural and designed for couples wanting to get away from it all and some guests are disappointed as we do not have good reliable wifi, so during your stay if you can't live a couple of days without a stable super fast wifi connection then I recommend a city break, respectfully, we are in the "sticks" and would not want you to think otherwise. Also if you can't find the date you want or you want no steps and a flat entrance to the building then you can book "the Lodge" same features, all new and it can be more peaceful as at certain times the field next to Stiltz is hosted by the owners of the farm (not us!) for weddings and other events, and at these times Stiltz is normally booked for the bride and groom. So Stiltz is very quite 90% of the time but at busier periods music can be heard at these times, please ask if this a concern and we can check what's on and also the lodge is tucked around the other side of the farm so is more private and more enclosed if that is a must, please book the place that most suits your needs ! But most of all this is an ideallic and remote spot loved by all! You might want help with Bike hire, we can do that so it is all sorted, hats, lights and locks for your arrival, look at above guest access section it has full details, plus details on Tesco or Sainsbury delivery for when or before they arrive, just ask and we can agree the slot and order all your goodies to maximise your time in the Hottub or exploring the woods! Guests have commented that the pictures we post do not do Stiltz justice and we love that! We have gone to extra lengths on the detail, the mattress was one of the most expensive available and framed by a hand made four poster bed, the cost coffee machine would set you back a pretty penny, but it is not about how much we spend on the stuff inside and out. We keep the freshest coffee beans in the fridge for that perfect cup of coffee, Our cleaner spends 3-4 hours after every guest departure making sure it is spotless, we want you stay to be perfect and for us it has to be very clean, and that goes for the Hottub, we spend many hours after every guest, cleaning pipes, changing / cleaning filters, changing water and cleaning the tub and did I say fresh water, it is a major exercise as the hot tub takes an hour to empty, over two to fill, and it can take eight hours or more to reach the ideal temperature, so if we don't have time we can do a partial change, and a deep clean, as we look to to do a full change every week, not the two months as recommended by the manufacturer and as others do, on top and as a matter of course we balance the water condition twice daily, for us this has to be clean as, you would not want to share someone else's bath! We had our first guest propose in the Hottub in December, there are some occasions best remembered under a carpet of stars in a dark sky in water set to 103 degrees with a 4,500 bubbles per second, we set the seen as best we can, we do the detail so you can forget it! But we have had guests whom have spent till 5am in the Hottub and slept till 3pm, we do not do your normal week, if you live in Essex, Devon, London or Hertfordshire, you will have an experience designed to be far away from the routine and some time away from the buzz with someone special! Our guests can enjoy their stay, relaxing in the hot tub on the outdoor decked area, with commanding views over the peaceful North Norfolk countryside surrounding Stiltz Lodge, or BBQ on the decked area to the rear and lounge in a hammock!! We decorate in side and out at Christmas. If you are planning a special break then you we often surprise our guests with a complementary Bottle of prosecco on ice with glasses, that way your holiday can start the second you arrive and if it is chilly you will find a roaring waiting for you to toast your toes! If you are unsure read the reviews, or stay and be miles away from the daily graft and write your own story! We like our guests to enjoy their stay, some regular Airbnb guests and new to us have said Stiltz is the best place they have ever stayed, find out?

Realment van respondre a les nostres consultes i ens van enviar un manual amb antelació que tenia bones recomanacions sobre llocs per visitar i on menjar. També van organitzar bicicletes de muntanya per a nosaltres: una ubicació fantàstica per anar en bicicleta. El balneari també va tenir un gran èxit. Ubicació preciosa. Realment net. Una encantadora estada relaxant.

  • Vam passar el millor moment a la nostra mini lluna, un final increïble per al cap de setmana més perfecte. La vista és per morir-nos, ens vam asseure a la banyera d'hidromassatge mirant les estrelles i va ser simplement màgic, moltes estrelles de tir. El lloc estava impecable amb molts extres afegits, així que content que escollíssim aquest lloc. Si hi hagi una sola caiguda, serien les mosques, però amb la calor i les fantàstiques vistes, això no ens va abaixar massa (a més de l'ajut de spray de mosca), sens dubte no deixaríem que això us deixés fora! Gràcies a tots dos per una meravellosa estada, que ja vol tornar al nostre aniversari !!

    We already deep clean between all guests and with the current crisis we have stepped that up a gear and are thoroughly disinfecting, all hard surfaces, switches, remotes etc. We are also sourcing hand sanitiser which will be available for guests staying. If you want to isolate yourself and your family in luxury you can do that in our remote barn.Gather with family & friends to relax or celebrate in Grade II Listed luxury accommodation.
    Medieval Swafield Barn is perfectly positioned for you to explore Norfolk’s amazing coastline, with wide sandy beaches and the famous Norfolk Broads within easy reach. It has a large open plan kitchen with large centre island and a seating area, along with a separate dining room. All these features make it an ideal venue for celebrations. A feature double staircase leads to the spacious formal living room with fireplace and open gallery allowing views to the large garden, neighbouring countryside and the three bell towers of nearby churches.This spacious accommodation allows the opportunity to sit and dine together, along with plenty of options to escape into quieter areas Ground Floor: Dining room: With beams and wooden floor and a long table that seats 12/14 Kitchen/dining area: With electric range, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, beams and wooden floor. Information pack. Large lawned garden with patio BBQ and garden furniture. Outdoor heated swimming pool and hydrotherapy spa with tide wave jets simulator (private pool 3m x 4m, depth 1.8m). Selection of outdoor toys in the storage chest outside. Private parking for 7 cars. No smoking in all rooms. There are two outdoor cameras, placed primarily to prevent theft and vandalism of the property when empty but we reserve the right to view the images if damage or abuse occurs whilst occupied by guests. There are no cameras within the property.
    The church of St Nicholas sits proudly on a hill and there is a beautiful view to the surrounding countryside. It has one of the few remaining Medieval rood screens in Norfolk. The seaside resort of Mundesley is 3 miles where you will find a sandy beach, golf course, crazy golf, toddlers’ swing park, basketball/tennis court, skateboard park and acres of grass to have fun on. There is an all year round dog-friendly beach located either side of the main beach. Cromer, 7 miles away, has sandy beaches, a promenade, pier, RNLI working lifeboat station, museum, zoo park and golf course. The nearby market town of North Walsham is 2½ miles with several good restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. It also has a train station, leisure centre with swimming pool, historic market square and market cross, or visit Davenport’s Magic Kingdom, a wonderful emporium of magic and illusion. The city of Norwich is 17 miles away where guests can visit the cathedral, castle museum, theatre, excellent shopping, art galleries, cafés and fine restaurants. Wroxham is 11 miles away and is known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, and has waterside shops, cafés, and daily boat hire with river trips, or book a trip on the Mississippi steamer. For the children there is BeWILDerwood Adventure Park with its treehouses, zip wires and jungle bridges. There are plenty of gastro pubs within the surrounding area, together with a wealth of National Trust properties which include Felbrigg Hall, garden and park, one of the finest 17th-century country Jacobean houses in East Anglia, Blickling Hall, a magnificent house with woodlands and lakeside walks, and Sheringham Park, beautifully landscaped and renowned for its spectacular displays of azaleas and rhododendrons in late spring. The Royal Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall and its beach is an hour’s drive away. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

    Charming former fisherman's cottage; minutes from the wide sandy beaches and centrally located in Cromer town centre on a quiet road. Fully modernised with central heating and original features perfect for cozy winter breaks and summer holidays alike. Private park space two mins walk away.
    A chance to stay in a listed former-fisherman's cottage in a prime location in the centre of the town. Full of character; the cottage is the perfect place to unwind helped along by walks along the beach and for the brave dips in the North sea. Close to amenities and good local pubs; everything is on hand for a relaxing break. The cottage has been awarded 3 stars by Visit England. Note although the cottage sleeps five it is more suited to 4 adults than 5 as the third bedroom is very cosy and there are only 4 soft seats in the living room.
    Cromer is a great place to be based to discover North Norfolk or alternatively just stay local and enjoy the wide sandy beaches, white cliffs and Victorian pier.

    We have travelled using Airbnb over the past few years and have had some amazing experiences and want to offer the best Airbnb experience possible now that we are hosting. We really love our home so please treat it as you would your own.
    Norwich is a wonderful city. Full of Culture and History. It has been voted 4th best shopping area in the UK, set amongst beautiful surroundings. We have lots of great restaurants and bars. Something for everyone's taste. Please do not hesitate to ask for recommendations as we will be happy to tell you about some of our favourite places.

    The Good Shepherd, located in the seaside village of Overstrand is just a 3 minute walk to the beach and 1 mile from the Victorian fishing town of Cromer. The Shepherds Hut is situated on a secluded plot at the side of our property, overlooking flower beds and exotic shrubs. The hut contains a comfortable double bed, log burner and mini fridge. Outside is a separate heated shower-room, small private lawn, fire pit & bbq. Ideal for a peaceful retreat, perfect for couples and lone adventurers.

In the cooler months it provides a great source of light, enabling guests to watch the world go by from the warm and cosy comfort of indoors. The surrounding fields provide lovely views from the Crossing Retreat’s private courtyard garden where guests can enjoy the lantern lit outdoor seating area.
    Tunstead has many traffic free walks/ cycle routes and a very cute watering hole which welcomes passers by with home cooked lunches, local ales, cakes and evening meals at the weekend. St Mary church at the end of the lane is a particularly vast church for such a small village, so too is the church at Worstead just 2.5miles away. This village is also host to Titchfest held this year on 25th-26th June and the famous Worstead festival on 30th-31st July. Hoveton Hall is just around the corner and has some amazing gardens to stroll round. Also very close by is Wroxham Barns which has a farmyard, amusement rides, garden centre, specialist shops and a restaurant (which sells the most amazing full English breakfast!). Further on but still only 3 miles from the cottage is Wroxham, the heart of the broads. There you can hire a boat, canoe, bike or walk along the river sampling the restaurants and cafes. It is also where you can board the Bure Valley Railway, which is Norfolk's longest fifteen inch gauge line running between Wroxham and Aylsham. The 18 mile round trip takes you through the picturesque Bure valley countryside following the river and stops occasionally at small country villages. Also within 3 miles is Coltishall, a lovely village on the river Bure, housing antiques shops and pubs with outdoor seating on the riverside. You are also only 10 miles from the famous North Norfolk coastline. Whether you're looking for large expanses of sand, walking along sand dunes or marshland, bird/ seal watching or water sports the Norfolk coastline has them all. Just over an hour's drive takes you to Southwold, a typical Victorian seaside town with a modern take on the classic arcades. We can't not talk about North Norfolk without mentioning the National Trust sites; Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and finally Blakeney Point. We also have some super golf courses which we have played on and will be able to recommend to you. Finally, the Georgian town of Holt is also not far away and is a must to sample its quirky shops, pubs and galleries.

    The impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our guests and our properties. We care deeply about your safety, whether you are at home or traveling. With this in mind, I would like to share some actions we are taking to help you make informed decisions about your stay or plan to stay with us. A major benefit for us is that we are very rural, and you never need meet anyone during your stay here. Most guests travel by car and we provide private and isolated guest car parking. And within the vast Woodlands and Heaths that back onto the properties, it is very rare to meet other people, and if people are walking their dogs, it is easy to see people approaching from a distance and to go in other directions. For the interim, we have removed all sauces and condiments, tea bags and aromatherapy oils for the hot tubs at both rentals. We will still provide a large portion of coffee beans for the coffee machines in a resealable container (kept in the fridges) which is replaced between guests, so these items you will now need to bring for your own personal use. Stand down day. We have now implemented an additional 24 hours between guests arriving and departing our properties. This is for two main reasons, one, it allows our hot tubs to be drained completely, and two, for us to carry out a full deeper clean, bleaching all surfaces in between all guests. Our cleaners have been advised/reminded on how to thoroughly clean our properties, and have been provided with additional cleaning solutions to ensure this is correctly carried out. This will double the time they spend cleaning our properties, however, we are determined to always continue to improve our excellent hygiene standards. We would also ask that all our guests please also follow government guidelines on hand washing and daily hygiene to ensure we are all working together to avoid this virus. What you can do to stay healthy Whether you’re at home or traveling, the WHO recommends practicing good hygiene to protect yourself against infection — by washing your hands frequently with soap, so we provide hand soap in our properties, we will provide correct strength alcohol-based sanitizer, if it is available for us to buy then we will provide it, but advice is soap and water with robust scrubbing is more effective. The advice of maintaining distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth. So as a precaution we do not plan to meet any guests from now on during your stay, during check-in or check-out, key boxes (we use anti bacterial treatment between guests on each box ) allow you to enter the property and leave with out the need to meet us. Airbnb now are changing cancelation policy and cancellation charges are being updated so guests do not lose out, please check regularly the site for details should you have any problems with COVID-19, we would prefer that you do cancel if your circumstances change, and if we have any problems then you will be notified via the app. We understand as this situation rapidly evolves, we know there is an atmosphere of uncertainty as travellers wonder if they should change their plans and we will do all we can to help with regular information. The lodge is all new for April 2017, is part of a complex of barns, it was built in 1780 and converted 30 years ago into a home, but then it fell into disrepair and in 2016 we carried out a complete new refit, new windows, completely insulated and new cladding, new floors, heating system, new bathroom, replaced the kitchen, re wired and re-plastered, and then in 2017 we have landscaped, new fencing, decking, large patio, lighting and car park, we believe it is even better than Stiltz our other holiday home, a very private space and secluded garden and patio! We can accommodate six guests, one normal king bedroom, the front room has a double sofa bed, and then the smoke haus which is a pod in the garden has a double bed, but the pod has steps and you need to use the bathroom in the lodge, via the path across the garden, the pod is not for all but a totally unique space designed by London Architects for “green sky Thinking week” , no right angles, and a sky light to watch the stars, ideal for youngsters! We believe in providing an environment for you to focus on the present and allowing enjoyment in relaxation are the keys to a well earned break, some might seek 'mindfulness’ and there’s no better place to practice a little ‘you’ time than in the lodge garden. What is good for your spirit and wellbeing, is switching off from technology and curling up with a good book and we have some to choose from and in the fresh air, chill, the kids can do what they like doing at home in the lodge, we have WIFI but we are in the country side so do expect more than about 10 mg on a good day if you have brought them? I suspect they will spend a lot of time in the hot tub ( please seek acceptable usage guidance) next to the lawn, or in the Smokehaus at the bottom of the garden! Our garden sofa offers that comfort in a very special sun trap, and a couple of side tables for refreshments and you’ll be set for an afternoon of pure relaxation. The Danish concept of ‘hygge’ - essentially making moments in life special, cosy and memorable - is moving outdoors. It’s very satisfying to huddle around the firepit, toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate, encapsulating the very essence of hygge, or undercover in the Smokehaus with the woodburner!Adding to the sensory experience is our olive tree, lavender and other herbs, creating the fragrant scent in the evening. Use the seating at night and the lodge comes with plenty of blankets ready to hand round as the temperature falls. The patio doors, blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors to create large entertaining and living spaces. For a seamless look, with garden furniture as elegant as indoor furniture we provide comfortable seating for many enjoyable hours around the table with friends and family. Do your food prep in the kitchen and use the kitchen window as a hatch for delivery to the outdoor cooking area, the gas BBQ saves all the messing around with charcoal, or maybe the family or just the two of you want breakfast outside, with fresh ground coffee from our machine, we even provide the beans and where better to enjoy that 'barista' cappuccino than the bistro set so you can soak up the early morning sun? Our outdoor lighting, making it easier than ever to create a stunning outdoor ambiance after the sun goes down, the Somkehaus has some very interesting lighting options. The car park has Environmentally friendly solar-powered lights and mains motion sensor lighting, the car parking space is covered by CCTV for security, but the CCTV does not cover the hottub and private Garden, patio, and decking areas. The lodge has uplighter and downlighter's on the outside washing the weatherboard barn with soft light, the seating areas near the hot tub is lit with decking lights and lighting posts so you can enjoy and eat in comfort, the pathway is lit for safety and general illumination. Lighting is controlled inside and out to add drama and cast beautiful shadows onto surrounding surfaces and will create an intimate atmosphere combined with the vibrant blue LED's in the hot tub, this is a very private space. We have had some fantastic reviews for our other property Stiltz, but it is not suitable for everyone, so for those who may have kids, families and for elderly guests we set up "the Lodge" it is so you can bring friends or family, so Stiltz is still the best couples retreat in the county, but The lodge is more flexible and less like a tree house and more like a normal barn conversion, so suitable for every one, so the lodge is child friendly and sleeps up to four, or or you have the Smokehaus to yourself, for chilling outside away from the telly! The kitchen has fantastic uninterrupted views of the fields outside the barns. Our hot tub is next to a decked eating area, well lit for night time dinning, but surrounded by fencing to make sure you stay is private and if you want to relax in our state of the art Hottub with its own sound system connected by Bluetooth to your smart phone, you will not be overlooked as you stare at the stars in the night sky! This is also perfect for couples wanting a special break away. We have done all we can to make it as comfortable as possible, the luxury inside, alongside the pleasure of watching the sunset with a glass of bubbly at any time of the year from the warmth of the hot tub is something special that a photo cannot capture! If you want to get away from the bustle of everyday life, curling up in front of a roaring fire with that special someone. We are miles away from the nearest village, and access is via an unmade track, and remote means near enough to the shops in the car, but some mobile providers also have poor coverage in our area too, it is rural with a capital R! The lodge is located with access to 600 acres of heathland and woods, from your backdoor, close to the leisure area called Top Farm. Also, the camping area can be used for Weddings in the summer sometimes, and the area can become busier in the School Summer Holiday periods, however, there is no access to the external spaces around the lodge or Hottub other than by you , it is totally private, and all the facilities, including the hot tub and Smokehaus are for the exclusive of our guests during their stay. However, it’s charm can be felt in the Autumn and Winter months, and it feels like you are the only people for miles around! From the bedroom you can see the views of the garden, Smokehaus and patio when you wake, relax in the luxury beech bed, on a mattress which has over a 1000 individual pocket springs with deep, luxury fillings, this is a hand tufted mattress to give optimum support for a peaceful night’s sleep. We provide the highest quality bed linen for all guests, with luxury soft pillows and duvet, watch TV and enjoy breakfast in bed! Many of our guests have said that, when you combine the super bed with a couple of hours in the hot tub, it has made for the best night’s sleep they’ve had in years! (We also provide, free of charge, lavender, raspberry and other scented oils for use in the hot tub). We made the lodge for relaxing in, and it is ideal for guests who want to stay somewhere a bit special. Our happiest clients seem to be those who want to get away from it all, but not to scrimp on comfort. The bathroom has a glass surround shower with ceramic tile walls, full size bath, the sink is also tiled with large and small mirror, a one-piece toilet, Exhaust fan with humidity control, Large ceramic floor tiles laid through-out, spot lighting, and waterproof shower lighting and heated towel bars. The bathroom has been remodel and is finished in crisp white, complete with soft deep luxury towels provided for our guests, and for couples only your own robes provided for the spa. The bathroom is clad in hand cut timber painted with soft eggshell. The lounge, with a deep four-seater, brown , leather sofabed, to curl up on for a cosy night in front of the black cottage wood burner, with the option of watching the Panasonic 40" Smart TV, with Freeview TV. But if you like your music the lodge is equip with a audio and video sound system powered with a Sony amplifier with a generous 165 watts per channel @6 Ohms, powering internal and external speakers, including, surround, sub woofer and centre, a movie by the fire may just like being at the cinema! stream any music stored on a NAS drive or network compatible device (tablet, phone etc) as well as having the capability to tune in to Radio services from across the globe. Furthermore, the unit comes equipped with Bluetooth and Apple Airplay capabilities so it can literally connect to almost any device imaginable. It is the 3rd generation of Bluetooth known as APT-Xso you can now stream high quality audio through this unit if stored on the connected device, or just great with the DVD player and selection of DVD's, the sound will make for a fantastic film night! It is unlikely you will feel either too cold or, too hot, as the building is super insulated, space heating and water heating is provided by the the state of the art air source heat pump, and keeps the place very comfortable in all weathers. We provide wood and kindling for reasonable use of the woodburner and as it is a must for our winter guests! You can exit the lounge stepping onto your personal patio areas via sets of double patio doors. To the sun deck or breakfast decked area, all areas can be again fully lit in the evenings., with table and seating for meals, the garden is very, very private, a real sun trap and not over looked, the Smokehaus is another space, to avoid weather, but to do as you wish, no rules! From the dining table in the kitchen area, and you will the best views of 100 acres of fields. The kitchen is well equipped with all your home comforts, seasoning (Tuscan, Italian , French, chilli and others) plus your own top of the range coffee machine (Instructions to be found in the manual), the lodge has new appliances, Dishwasher, microwave, fridge, toaster, blender, TV and kettle are also provided. Instant coffee and a selection of twelve types of tea bags from herbal to Earl Grey are complementary . Also, all necessities, i.e. dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and cleaning products. The cooking area has a ceramic hob, extractor fan and two large separate grill/oven (Instructions in the manual), also commentary cooking oils, balsamic vinegar, sauces, herbs and spices. We even provide a full set of condiments, ketchup, mustard, chilli, tabasco and much more! At the end of the kitchen you can exit and the path takes you to the block paved car park area via the courtyard. The sun deck next to the large lawn also has sun loungers, surrounded by decking lights, you can step straight into the spa. The Hottub is a new Evolution 7 and features an advanced shell design combining elegant style & functionality. All seats are ergonomically designed to ensure the ultimate in comfort, it features a Balboa colour touch screen keypad similar to a modern smart phone. Intuitive and simple to use, the keypad allows you to control the spa's functions effortlessly; functionality can also be streamed to your smart device using the specifically designed app.. The 43 hydrotherapy jets deliver a complex & powerful massage supported by the high pressure, 2-speed pump. All jets can be adjusted at both the jet head and via the air diverter; the diverter regulates the intensity of the massage through subtle adjustments in air content within the jet stream. Each seat within the spa has its own jet configuration offering a diverse level of therapy throughout. It also features a quality bluetooth music system with two waterproof speakers and internal subwoofer. Clear, crisp sound can now be streamed from your portable device, with volume and track adjustment easily controlled via the spa's waterproof touch screen. EcoPur filtration eliminates metals and toxins naturally found in water, resulting in a clearer, fresher spa. Filtration is further enhanced by the inclusion of the ozone system, killing stubborn bacteria and reducing the need for additional chemicals. This proves we don't cut corners, this spa comes in at the cost of a family car! Our guests can enjoy their evening with subtle light from blue up lighters , and the garden has a southern aspect, with rattan sofa and large table and arm chairs with table, also with a 3.5m Anthracite parasol, The patio area and decking step up into the lawn, which is surrounded by six foot high fencing, this means seating , tubbing and dinning is even lower creating a sunken sun trap with absolute privacy and is ideal if you wish to fire up the three burner gas BBQ (Full set of tools provided for BBQing), we also have a fire pit and more! If you hanker for straying a bit further in the outdoors, then out of the garden gate and you are into miles of woodland walks (map on the wall of the 500 acres in total without crossing a road) or, venture onto the adjacent heathland on bikes, which we can organise hire for your stay if you would like? Even if you clock up the miles on your walk, you will be lucky to come across anyone else, but you will find miles more beautiful scenery without a house in sight. We except guests with well-behaved pets, but we require information on your pet before we accept the booking. We want your stay to meet our high standards, and so, we like to change the water in the hot tub at least every guest or every week, but this takes more than 12 hours to empty, refill and get back to the correct temperature, therefore to allow this to happen, we do appreciate a prompt departure to allow us to be able to do this for our next guests. However, if we do not have guests arriving the following afternoon we are happy to be more flexible on departure times, so please just ask. Also, weekends are our most popular time for bookings, so we do discount week nights and longer stays! With one king size bedroom for two, the lodge also caters for two more on the double sofa bed in the front room and we can also provide for a fold away spare bed and bedding on request. Please browse our pictures, although our guests (and us) don't believe they do the lodge justice it deserves!! Why not come see for yourselves!! We do ask for a minimum stay of two nights, this is because cleaning, inside and out thoroughly can take four to five hours. Also, the emptying, filling and regular maintenance of the hot tub has to be completed and returning it to operating temperature can take many hours. We always clean and flush the hot tub every week, and it is only for your exclusive use only during your stay.
    This is an ideallic and remote spot loved by all! You might want help with Bike hire, we can do that so it is all sorted, hats, lights and locks for your arrival, look at above guest access section it has full details, plus details on Tesco or Sainsbury delivery for when or before they arrive, just ask and we can agree the slot and order all your goodies to maximise your time in the Hottub or exploring the woods! Guests have commented that the pictures we post do not do Stiltz justice and we love that! We have gone to extra lengths on the detail, the mattress was one of the most expensive available and framed by a beech wood, but it is not just about how much we spend on the stuff inside and out., Our cleaner spends 3-4 hours after every guest departure making sure it is spotless, we want you stay to be perfect and for us it has to be very clean, and that goes for the Hottub, we spend many hours after every guest, cleaning pipes, changing / cleaning filters, changing water and cleaning the tub and did I say fresh water, it is a major exercise as the hot tub takes an hour to empty, over two to fill, and it can take eight hours or more to reach the ideal temperature, so if we don't have time we can do a partial change, and a deep clean, as we look to to do a full change every week, not the two months as recommended by the manufacturer and as others do, on top and as a matter of course we balance the water condition twice daily, for us this has to be clean as, you would not want to share someone else's bath! We had our first guest propose in the Hottub in Stiltz December 15, there are some occasions best remembered under a carpet of stars in a dark sky in water set to 103 degrees with a 4,500 bubbles per second, we set the seen as best we can, we do the detail so you can forget it! But we have had guests whom have spent till 5am in the Hottub and slept till 3pm, we do not do your normal week, if you live in Essex, Devon, London or Hertfordshire, you will have an experience designed to be far away from the routine and some time away from the buzz with someone special! Our guests can enjoy their stay, relaxing in the hot tub on the outdoor decked area, with commanding views over the peaceful North Norfolk countryside surrounding The Lodge, or BBQ on the decked area to the rear and lounge on the sofa!! We decorate in side and out at Christmas. If you are planning a special break then let us know what we can do to make you mr say extra special, that way your holiday can start the second you arrive and if it is chilly you may want to find a roaring waiting for you to toast your toes, just let us know! We like our guests to enjoy their stay, some regular Airbnb guests and new to us have said Stiltz our other property is the best place they have ever stayed, we expect the lodge to be the same for families and couples!

    A stylish converted stables dating from 1900. All on one level. Quirky spaces, snug corners and open plan living. The little stables is furnished to a high standard with your comfort in mind. Agricultural chic with a touch of luxury awaits you. Sumptuous bedding, toiletries, dressing gowns and your own slippers make this a home away from home. Surrounded by fields and once the stables for the main property it now houses one bedroom, lounge area, kitchen / dining room and a shower room. If you are bringing your dog I provide doggie bowls and the odd treat. If you are bringing your baby I provide high chair, baby bath, bottle steriliser, plastic cutlery, plastic crockery and sippy cups.
    Located in the small and quiet hamlet of Thurgarton and yet only 5 miles from the coast. The next village, 1/2 mile away, has a pub, post office and village shop. Norwich is 35 minutes drive away and Cromer and Holt can be easily be reached by car in 15 minutes. Perfect base for exploring the countryside, visiting our vast beaches or just relaxing. The delight of the The Little Stables is its rural location so a car is needed, mobile reception is as you would expect being very rural. Wifi is provided, however, given our location it can dip in and out :)

    Good sized double bedroom on ground floor in a nice family friendly detached chalet bungalow in lovely village of Drayton. We're 3 mins from nearest bus stop for City Centre.
    The room is a double bedroom located on the ground floor overlooking the large back garden. The room has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers + a mirror, hair dryer & lamp to make you feel comfortable.
    Drayton village has good pubs/restaurants, a quaint English Cafe as well as a new Dominos Takeaway. There is also a post office, bank, Pharmacy, Tescos store and a leisure centre within walking distance from home. There is a great ex-railway line that has been converted into a footpath all the way into the City (about 4 miles walk) which is very picturesque.

    Our 15th C family home, sits in an acre of garden in the village of Plumstead. There is a luxury double bedroom with an additional bedroom. Relax and enjoy home cooked delights in the breakfast room before exploring the wonders Norfolk offers.
    Church Farmhouse still has traces of its 15th Century origins. A large family home in brick and flint, it has countless features giving glimpses of the changes it has undergone throughout the ages. It sits in an acre of garden where old apple and plum (not forgetting the large white mulberry) trees stand beside borders full of colour and interest Through the gate there is a large striped lawn with a burgeoning veggy patch on one side, while chickens scratch way and lay their delicious eggs, on the other.     Plumstead is a remarkably peaceful village surrounded by farmland. It is just five miles from the striking Georgian town of Holt with its array of unique privately owned shops and restaurants. It also boasts a highly regarded Summer Festival at the end of July. North Norfolk is famous for its coastline with its fabled marshes that stretch from east to west. It is world renowned for birdlife with Cley just 20 minutes away. Beaches range from the traditional at Sheringham to the breathtaking expanses of sand and dunes at Wells and Holkham. For the more restless there is superb sea sailing at Blakeney and Morston or you may simply wish to take a trip to see the seals from either of these small harbours. We are lucky enough to have no less than four outstanding National Trust "properties" Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park (the rhododendrons and azaleas are exquisite) and finally Blakeney Point. For those who like to strike the little white ball you will be spoilt for choice for golf links, Sheringham being the pick. However, even the most seasoned campaigner, as the six foot putt is lined up for a half, may be startled by the sound of steam and the smell of smoke and ashes as a locomotive climbs the gradient on the North Norfolk Railway from Sheringham to Holt, offering spectacular views of the coast. Nonetheless we urge you to resist these delights for part of your stay, leave the car and explore the enchanting paths that take you through wildflowers and woodland that radiate out of our village. If you are a stargazer you will be in for a treat as the night sky is strikingly free of manmade light. If you would like to venture a little further afield we can lend you bikes so that you can meander down sleepy lanes and seek out our remarkable heritage of medieval churches.

    "Without doubt the best airbnb experience we've ever had." Our cabin is perfectly located for a memorable coastal break. Set within our wonderful garden, the cabin has a king-sized bed, TV and sofa. It doesn't have running water so guests use the bathroom facilities in our house a few steps away. We provide a choice of delicious breakfasts. This lovely retreat is ideal for beach and country walks, trips to nearby attractions, local pubs and restaurants...or just a peaceful relaxing getaway.
    We have a lovely home close to the sea, including our garden cabin which is set up to provide accommodation for our guests in this fantastic location. The cabin is set up as a bedroom and sitting area. It has a comfortable king-sized bed, a cosy sitting area with a sofa, TV and a wardrobe/drawer for your clothes. Clean bedding and towels are supplied as well as dressing gowns and crocs for your use. There's a smoke alarm to increase your safety. Tea and coffee making facilities are also in the cabin and a microwave and mini-fridge close by. It doesn't have running water so guests use the downstairs toilet/washroom and upstairs bathroom with walk-in shower in our house, a few steps away. If required, we can provide a simple to use and hygienic portable toilet for discreet use in the cabin. The cabin sits in our wonderful gravel garden which we love and there are places for our guests to sit and read or just watch the world go by. We provide off-road parking meaning your car is only a few yards from the cabin. As hosts, we will help you feel welcome and this includes providing breakfast, ranging from a full English fried special to a choice of cereals and yogurts. And we've got five out of five hygiene rating from the local council. We look forward to meeting our guests, whatever their background or age, and helping them get as much enjoyment from staying here as possible, with our first-hand knowledge of visitor attractions, and those places less popular but just as special.

    We have reduced the rate to just cover our costs to try to help anyone who needs a place to stay. Budget accommodation, we welcome families and groups from all over the world to our home in the comfortable suburbs of Norwich and just within the bounds of the Broads National Park. Full of books, toys, plants, art and instruments.
    A quirky semi-detached house built in 1930. Light and airy with lots of stripped wood floors, rainbow colours and plants. It's a real home with all the things a family could need - including books and toys for children of all ages (we have 5 ourselves!). Our cosy living room has a big TV with a Full House cable package, as well as Netflix - there's a even a Nintendo Wii. There's board games, plenty of books and musical instruments to for when you don't want any screens. The back garden is a riot of colour in June and July, with a lawn for lounging (sun loungers provided) and a patio for dining (outdoor seating for up to 10 people is provided). A well stocked kitchen with everything you need for real, actual cooking (we are so fed up of blunt knives, no salt and pepper and missing cork screws when we travel).
    Quiet, civilised suburban area of Norwich. The road is quiet and residential. We're only 10 minutes drive from the airport or the train station.

Beds- The single bed is high quality and very comfortable so you will have a great nights sleep. A double duvet is provided for your comfort. The room is newly decorated and clean. Cleaning - Beds are freshly made, and the room is tidied for you each day. Replacement water also available. Security and safety - the home and garden are protected with gate entry and online cctv.     Vintage studio apartment perfect for a seaside/countryside break away. Only a 10 minute walk to West Runton beach.. you can drive there if you wish as there is parking. The village inn pub (and beer garden) is a 2 minute walk. Woodland walks are 10 minutes away. Very quiet and friendly village. Cromer and Sheringham town is a 5 minute drive both ways. Norwich city centre is a 40 minute drive. West Runton train station is 5 minute walk.
    A vintage studio apartment in a 1900’s Edwardian house located only 10 minutes away from the coast. The bathroom is private and is just outside the apartment (not en-suite). If you require the single bed (Z bed) then please let me know before And I will make this up for you.
    In the village there are a few shops including a grocery store/newsagents, fishing shop and post office. Also there are 4 restaurants, including a fish restaurant. A village pub with a garden too. There is a golf course, fishing pond, and horse riding are in the village too. Cromer and Sheringham are a 2 mile drive both ways. Both towns are full of shops, restaurants and other businesses.

Cromer is a bustling old fashioned sea side town with many independent local businesses. A great place for walkers!
    The seafront is also only a few minutes away with the pier and all of its amenities readily accessible. Cromer boasts a theatre on the pier, a cinema and a zoo. There is a small garden with a sitting out area which you are welcome to use. You are welcome to use the sitting areas in addition to your room.
    Cromer is an old fashioned seaside town, with many independent cafés and shops. There is a strong community spirit. The parish church is very welcoming.

We are in the centre of Aylsham with easy access to the Bure Valley Railway, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Annexe has its own entrance and is on the ground floor with parking outside. Guests have the use of their own brand new shower room and lobby with under floor heating.They may also use the utility room equipped with fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.
    The kitchenette is equipped with a kettle, a toaster and provisions for a continental breakfast. There are several cafes, restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance where more substantial food can be obtained. Aylsham is a very attractive, historic market town which is ideally located for access to Blickling Hall, the beautiful Norfolk coast and the fine city of Norwich.
    Despite being in the centre of the town, the property is very quiet. Guests have their own parking space on the drive of the house, just outside the Annexe. Keys Auction house is at the bottom of the road and there are regular markets in the town centre.

From here you have easy access to local beaches, wonderful coastal and rural walks, shopping and eating in Sheringham, Cromer and Holt, and always somewhere peaceful to return to and relax at the end of a busy day. Additional Information Although there is a high bannister in place, parents need to be mindful of little ones who might be tempted to climb up the bannister (see photos). Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at the barn (small additional charge), however, please respect house rules and keep dogs under control, the garden is not enclosed and there is side access into the owner's adjoining garden, where there is an uncovered pond.
