Bus Station
“For peopel who love nature and walking tours. Here my best tips which for a great tour which I always do with my guests. Best view over vienna! Best local food in "Heurige" Tour 1: U4 till Heiligenstadt, 38a till Kahlenberg, take a coffe with the best view. Start walking downhill (you cant miss the trail or ask peopel). During the warm season you will finde many "Heurige" on your way where you can try the best asutrian vines and snacks. You will reach Kahlenbergdort after a 30 Min walk and you can continue walking to Nussdorf (10 Min) and have a great austrian Dish in Gasthaus "Renner" (watch closing days!). Renner is famous for all austrian dishes in a traditional atmosphere of inside or outside and a fair price and large portions (maybe share one :)). Tour 2 is a bit more walking: Start U4 Spittelau, change to tram D to Nussdorf. Start walking up hill "Philosophenweg" (you will see a map for the bigger tour at the station). you can decide to take a short cut on the hill and walk over Kahlenberg back downhill or to walk uphill till Kahlenberg and than the same way down as tour1. In Nussdorf is the Gasthaus "Renner" which I highly recommend. Also possible to do everything without walking and take the bus 38a up and downhill :) or only Strassenbahn D to Nussdorf to eat at Renner :)”

Parc
“Beautiful, not so big park in the heart of the nobel Döbling with its villas and quiet life of expensive suburbs. Very easy to get there with bus 10A . There is a small restaurant there too. Locals love it, it is very authentic. Is on the way to the Grinzing, Kahlenberg, but closer. ”

“Go For a Walk and Dinner in Grinzing You probably don’t know that Vienna is the only metropolis with significant vineyard operations within the city limits. The wine taverns in Vienna are named “Heurige” and are located in charming neighborhoods that have maintained their village character. These areas are easily accessible by public transport from the city center and they border the Vienna Woods, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with clearly marked walking and hiking routes. Grinzing is the most famous of the Viennese wine villages, is reachable from the Schottentor station in the city center via tram line number 38. Heuriger restaurants are everywhere in Grinzing and you can enjoy new wine (the one from the current vintage also named “heurige”), assorted food platters, live music, and good cheer But before you visit one of these restaurants you can work up an appetite by hiking to Kahlenberg or the Leopoldsberg. Although tiny for everybody else’s standards except for the locals’, Vienna’s most famous hills allow for enchanting vistas over the city and the Danube basin as far as Bratislava. If you’re on the lazy side, bus number 38A takes you from Grinzing to the top of the hills such that you can walk your way back through astonishing panoramas, vine covered slopes, and more Heuriger hidden among vineyards. Finally, for the super lazy ones, the Vienna Heurigen Express offers a round trip of the area in a hop on hop off system, so you can enjoy the charming villages and views without too much effort.”

Parc
“Pötzleinsdofer Park is a beautiful old park with free roaming deer and a little petting zoo. It also offers a huge play ground and is very popular by the locals. The roots of the park date back to the 13th century. In 1801 it was re-designed by Konrad Rosenthal, a famous gardener of the former aristocracy. He built little ponds and planted exotic trees (redwood trees). Today you also find statues and a temple in this beautiful park. You may reach this park within 15 minutes by foot.”

Pool
“Several pools with beautiful historic building, with a stunning view of the city. 19th district. Lovely grounds. Unfortunately only really reachable by car. Same entrance price as all city pools -- 5.50 for adults, 3.00 for teens and 1.80 for kids, reduced price after 13.00. Near Grinzing, so after swimming you can visit the heurigers to sample the local wine!”
