The apartment is located one block from the Jardin, across from Monjas cathedral on Canal and Quebrada Street. It is a large apartment with two bedrooms, one bath, three walk out balconies, and two gardens. There are incredible views. It is a single level apartment in Centro San Miguel with no hills to traverse for access..... well appointed in a true Mexican Hacienda style.

L'espai
The apartment has a basic, four burner, gas a stove, new refrigerator, a microwave and convection oven. There are three propane heaters which are available for an extra charge. It is fully furnished with linens, pots and pans and dishes. However, if you require a gourmet kitchen and special cooking tools my apartment will not satisfy your needs.

There is a shower but no bathtub. The apartment is near fine restaurants, and 1 block to the main Jardin, Belles Artes, and the Peralta theater. There is ample closet space. The single room shares a bath with the queen bedroom.

Serveis i zones comuns
Access is available to one lower, and one second level roof garden. There is an iron, spiral stairway to the roof garden. Please note that If you fear heights or have mobility problems, the roof gardens will be challenging for you to access.

Altres coses per tenir en compte
I have an apartment manager who may be called for any and all apartment issues. I ask that guests do not attempt to make repairs on their own.

There is a phone for free Mexico calls and calls to Canada and the United States. Please be aware that there is a significant charge for 800 calls to the US. from Mexico. Please bring your own computer.

There is maid service once weekly on Wednesday, for 4 hours. If you are staying longer than a week. Please tip the maid.

Bedding is changed weekly and a laundry is 1/2 block from the door; there is no washer or dryer for guest use. We have a significant water shortage in San Miguel so please do not to use a fresh towel each day. Towels can be dried on the patio.

I supply toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and cleaning supplies upon arrival. If staying longer then 1 week, please purchase the items you need. You are welcome to use any cooking supplies.

There is basic cable with the news and sports channels. There is also a CD player and current movies.

I have propane heaters available during any cold season. You will be expected to replace any gas used. You will be charged $35.00 US per whole tank plus a delivery fee of $15.00 US..It is very difficult and expensive to have the tanks filled since the station is a significant distance from San Miguel. I will weigh the tanks before and after your stay to ascertain the amount of gas used. Please note that historical San Miguel homes have very thick walls with very high ceilings and they have no central heating. Bring warm clothes if temperatures are cool to cold.

Please also note that my location is in the Central area. In Centro, all residences are sometimes subject to the noise of church bells, parades, festivals and fireworks on occasion. Weekends are often filled with weddings and receptions. Dogs bark, roosters crow, and cats meow. This is the cultural life of San Miguel and the sounds are part of living in authentic Mexico.

The back bedroom is very quiet, but the nights can be less quiet in the guest room. I can not predict when a religious vigil or parade may pass on the street or a wedding celebrant may be loud. The quietest settings are located in the country and a distance out of town where you will only have barking dogs, and roosters.

As I have stated, this is an hacienda-style apartment in a colonial building that dates back to the 1700's. If you are bothered by an environment of art collections in a colonial atmosphere, you would probably prefer to rent a more modern accommodation.I would love to have you if you appreciate Mexican folk art, high ceilings, an incredible location in Centro, and panoramic rooftop views of San Miguel.

This is the best Centro location with holiday parades passing underneath your balconies. It is truly colonial. Balconies face the flowered wall of the Monjas Cloister and church. You are in the center of all entertainment, shopping, and restaurants. I am across from Dos Casas..... a 5 star restaurant and hotel.

There are three steps in the entryway and a railing. The roof garden is accessed by a winding, metal staircase. If walking or heights are a problem, the roof garden is not for you. There is a small garden off the kitchen on the first floor.

I will leave emergency contact numbers and restaurant recommendations in the apartment.

I have lived in Mexico for 11 years and I have traveled throughout Mexico since 1978. I was blessed to find San Miguel a little over 4 years ago, and I want to share my love of the city with you. We are a city of art, music, and culture...day and night...you will have so many exciting options to choose from. I am a retired nurse practitioner and an active hat designer and photographer. My apartment is like a gallery...colorful and cheerful....with lots of sunlight.

Durant la teva estada
This is a very quiet building. Guests are asked to be respectful of other tenants in terms of noise . The high rooftop is a shared space with the permission of the owner. There are two beautiful and private patios/gardens.
