Our Safari Room will give you a small taste of Africa with its tribal artwork and decor. The house is in a quiet street, walking distance to Creswick village, cafes, shops and all its charm. Enjoy your private entry and bathroom with a spa bath.
The Safari Room has a tribal theme hand painted by Deb as a tribute to her African upbringing and is a cozy and comfortable space. There is a very comfy queen sized bed with an electric blanket and TV. The room is 'cozy' and not much room for portacots or big suitcases etc - if you need more space try booking the studio. We can accommodate up another 4 people in our ‘Bohemian Art Studio’ which is on the same residential block.
Serveis i zones comuns
Guests will have their own entry, coffee, tea and toast making facilities located in the expansive laundry adjacent to their private bathroom. There is a toaster, plates and bowls if you would like to bring your own simple breakfast. You are welcome to use our 'Audrey Room', the bar fridge in the dining room and the deck to relax and enjoy the lovely view of Creswick and the forestry surrounds. When it's cold here we will light the woodfire - the place has central heating so it's mainly for the ambience and bit of extra heat.
Interacció amb els hostes
We are social people so we are happy to spend some time with our guests should the feeling be mutual. Deb is an accomplished cook and would be most willing to prepare a gourmet meal for guests (with a bit of notice and at a small fee) who would be welcome to eat with us in the dining room (or without us - thats fine too) whichever they prefer.
Altres aspectes destacables
The ‘Bohemian Art Studio’ is a second option for guests and is Deb’s working art studio. It is a one bedroom self contained unit with lounge, dining and kitchen facilities. It has its own private deck area with stunning views and side gate entry. There is a sofa bed for 2 extra guests if needed and a camp bed is available for children or any extras.
Guests will be within our home and therefore respect for our privacy in our side of the house would be appreciated.

We moved to Creswick about 4 years ago and have bought a lovely old ‘art deco’ style home that we have lovingly renovated and share it with our mistress - Miss Mia - the friendly ginger cat! We have a new addition in the form of a young dog called Wally - he's terribly cute so be prepared to be won over. We are social people and enjoy having people to stay - whether its guests through Airbnb or friends and family. We enjoy our cold climate and have a lovely wood fire to warm our lives. Deb loves to cook and has shared many meals with guests at our table. Steve works in the renewable energy business in Ballarat and Deb is a consultant and works from home so will usually be able to welcome guests. We are hooked on not just hosting through Airbnb but also enjoy being someone else’s guests as well. We love that the whole system is built on trust and warm welcomes.
