The Saltings is a four star rated Grade II listed one bedroom cottage with an interesting history dating back to the 16th century. We made the conversion to a high quality holiday let in 2011 and were keen to retain as many of the original period features of the property as possible.
We have enhanced the building’s character through careful use of stone and wood to create a unique and very comfortable, character property, ideal for couples looking for a romantic or relaxing break or a single person seeking a peaceful haven.
The Saltings has every modern feature you would expect, such as under floor heating, state of the art appliances, leather sofa, travertine bathroom and super comfortable King size bed.
The secure car parking space in front of the cottage is another feature which makes 'The Saltings' high on convenience. The bus stop into Bath is at the front of the building on the High Street.
Batheaston is ideally situated to explore the wonderful sights of Bath and the surrounding countryside, with such exquisite villages as Castle Combe and Lacock just minutes away.
The World Heritage City of Bath is conveniently accessed by bus which stops out on the high street at the front of the property. Or you can take a leisurely cruise on the nearby river Avon or stroll along the canal.
One the area's best riverside pubs is just 10 minutes walk from the Saltings, where you can also catch the river bus into the City between April and October.
In the same courtyard, we also have 2 x two bedroom cottages, the Old Workshop and the Coach House, plus a superb detached Georgian style property (Mulsanne House) which will sleep up to eight. So in total, we can accommodate parties of 18.
