nestled in the northeastern hills of florence, borgo boncichi combines the best of both worlds: close proximity (35 kim) to the bustling renaissance city of florence and peaceful country living.
you'll fall in love with the home the moment you walk in the front door and set eyes on that magnificent oversized window overlooking santa lucia. with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large living area, the house comfortably accommodates two couples, or four people.
we believe in mixing modern with rustic, so you'll find stone walls and wooden floors throughout the house. the bathrooms are modern and minimalistic, with travertine, slate, and rainfall shower heads. each bedroom has a queen-sized bed and plenty of storage for all of the clothes you'll buy in florence.
the kitchen is small but contains everything you need: an illy espresso machine, a 5-burner smeg gas stove, a refrigerator, freezer, and a door that heads out to the private patio and outdoor table [overlooking the hills].
you'll need a car to get up the mountain [the road leading to the house is unpaved and a bit rough, but well worth the adventure]. if you don't feel like navigating florence traffic, you can grab the train from dicomano, which is 10 minutes from the house.
there is lovely authentic general store at the bottom of the hill where you can buy all the essentials: wine, cheese, prosciutto and bread. it's a great place to schmooze with the locals and get a feel for country living in borgo boncichi.
