There are 3 bedrooms: 2 double beds and 1 single. Let me know if you would prefer 2 single duvets on one of the double beds (e.g. if kids are sharing the room).
We love up-cycling, collecting fun, useful things, plants and natural materials. The house is attractive and practical for people who love to be outside and relaxing and spacious for doing crafts and work with plenty of table space in each room, but it's definitely not posh!
There is a Bring and Share system with arts/craft supplies and basic groceries where you can help yourself, enjoy, and leave behind things for the next guests.
The Studio cats might want to hang out with you or you might never see them! But they will be around so you can't leave food out!! This is definitely a cat-lover's house!
Dogs are very welcome! But do remember they can never, under any circumstance, be left alone in the house.
I will be out a lot working on a new sculpture series about the woods in the Park but I will come in occasionally (always masked and when you are out) to look after the plants and cats, do basic ongoing cleaning and keep up with laundry in the downstairs utility room.

Quiet, friendly, peaceful residential street on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Our very nice neighbours are usually extremely quiet. Many work long shifts as Key Workers in places like the NHS so being considerate is particularly important here.

I'm a sculptor working in clay and have worked full time here at Osprey Studios in this lovely, peaceful neighbourhood for 10 years. Before that we were based in the wonderful Rhondda Valley, 20 miles away. You can read all about my work by searching 'Rebecca Buck Osprey Studios sculpture'.
Hosting the Cabin here has been amazing. Now my youngest is busy with Uni so we are closing the Cabin for the time being and opening Osprey Studios House in July 2021: a quiet, relaxing, down to earth house for walkers, families and people who want space to work on crafts, arts or other projects.

During your stay text is the best way to get in touch. I am usually around but do my best to give guests privacy.
I used to foster cats for Friends of the Animals Wales and 5 rescue cats now live here. They are shy but friendly and free to come and go. Please shut bed room doors if you don't want them in there. Do not feed them anything at all!! Do not leave food out unattended for even a minute!!
