Halls Head is located to the west of the Central Business District, which is currently expanding and improving with increased infrastructure, offices and cafes. Halls Head, the largest suburb of Mandurah, it is often separated into at least two categories by locals, Old Halls Head and 'Seascapes/New Halls Head/"Near the highschool"'. With Old Halls to the north of Peelwood Parade, and 'Seascapes/New Halls Head/"Near the highschool" to the south. Old Halls Head has been seen as the elite part of Mandurah for a long time, with many larger homes on the waterfront (canal, beach and estuary front) and established, extremely affordable and great value family size homes just sitting back from the water that surrounds Halls Head to the West, North and East. 'Seascapes/New Halls Head' is affordable, close to Mandurah and all the facilities. The downside of Halls Head is that the city centre that is one of the main entry/exit points for Halls Head, is stricken with traffic problems, as the road system is not currently at its best. A major drawcard for Halls Head is the water, Halls Head is surrounded by water, and its great, its peaceful and its very relaxing. It is fantastic arriving into your suburb (which is apart of an island) entering over a bridge with lovely expanses of water to either side.
