The Park View guesthouse is a 600 square foot fully furnished dwelling above the garage on the rear of the property. The garage is connected to our main house through a fenced patio and garden area so guests will enjoy quiet peaceful nights with private access and dedicated parking directly in front of the well lit stairs.

Park View is the largest of several new guest suites on the Cary Downtown Park. The suites are semi-attached to beautiful new Charleston style homes that face the park with private access to the suites via a quaint gravel alley-way along the rear of the property.

With a cozy cottage/farm house feel, beautiful reclaimed oak counter tops, fully equipped modern kitchen, high-speed wi-fi, a new 50" HD SMART TV and black-out drapes, guests are sure to find everything they need for a relaxing get-away or extended business stay.

Dining: The kitchen has all of the modern conveniences you would expect including a beverage station with an assortment of coffee and teas, basic condiments, nutri-bullet blender, electric tea pot, french press and single cup Keurig. Guests that prefer to prepare a quick meal at home will appreciate the fully furnished kitchen which includes a range, microwave, dishwasher fridge, cookware , plates, bowls, glassware etc.

Live and Work: As you can see in the pictures, this is an open floor plan that is cozy and well equipped for relaxation or business travel with amenities like toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, linens, extra towels, iron, hair dryer, and more. The large open floor plan makes for a great live-and-work area for extended stays and the bedroom is partitioned for privacy with a separate TV and work desk. There is access to the bathroom from the kitchen/laundry area and from the bedroom which features an awesome king size tempur-pedic bed. Additional features that will make you feel right at home include a separate pantry, stack washer/dryer, and a large walk-in closet with plenty of built in shelves for guests that require a longer stay.

When you are ready to head out for a walk around town or to explore nearby attractions, be sure to look for our list of restaurants and things to-do suggestions in the unit or feel free to message us ahead of time for ideas. Regardless if you are here for work, vacation or relocating to the area, Jim and Terri enjoy helping guests find their way around the area so please do not hesitate to contact them.

Other things to note: Due to allergies and excessive cleaning that would otherwise be required, we prefer to host non-smokers.

From the rear of the unit, it is a very short walk along the gravel alleyway to streets that lead to the Park or downtown attractions.

Due to all of the new construction around the park, expect some construction related noise during the day along Walker Street. This is on the opposite end of the property from the guesthouse and typically is not a problem.

Access to the guesthouse is via the rear gravel alley-way off of E Park St.

Due to temporary road closures, the best route is from Chatham St. then south on S Walker, left on E Park and immediate right on Heater Cottage Alley. We are the 4th house on the right. Just look for the house with a black garage door.

There is a dedicated Parking Spot directly in front of the stairs and our house number (341) is on the garage beside the stairs! The keypad is easy to operate...just enter the 4 digit code and the lock will open. When you leave, just close the door and press the lock button at the top of the keypad and the door will lock.

Please note, due to recent street re-addressing, some Mobile Maps may have difficulty finding "341 S Walker Street" so please use "341 Walker Street" (without the S) and it will take you to the correct location.

We have included a few pictures of the surrounding downtown area which is truly walkable with an awesome small town feel, however, if you are looking for hiking, biking, canoeing or wooded tranquility, the William B. Umstead State Park is less than 5 miles away! Here you will find over 5000 acres of beautiful woodlands and streams with more than 20 miles of multi-use trails for your escape and adventure! We hope you enjoy your stay!
