This newly decorated double room is creatively packed with colourful displays of mosaic and textile art to delight the eye and soothe the soul. Skippy, the resident cat, will treat you to cuddles on the bed and all night purring but if you prefer your stay to be feline free that's ok too, simply keep your door closed!
In addition to the cat we also have two small dachshund 'sausage' dogs who will meet and greet you with enthusiasm!
Our period home is packed with colour and creativity and is set in the heart of the beautiful rural village of Box, gateway to the Cotswolds and boasts the famous Brunel Tunnel. Situated just 5 miles east of the world heritage Georgian city of Bath you can enjoy the best of both worlds here - a rural break with immediate access to some wonderful Cotswold countryside walking or venture into Bath itself with its many historic buildings and monuments including the Roman Baths, Bath Thermae Spa and the Royal Crescent, great shopping, restaurants and vibrant nightlife.
Our home is also a great base to explore Bristol, Wells, the Cotswolds, Stonehenge and other world heritage sites.
Other nearby attractions include the lovely villages of Castle Coombe and Lacock (which has become renowned for filming scenes for Harry Potter at Lacock Abbey) and many other period films. Poldark fans will want to visit Corsham just 2 miles away and play 'spot the location'!

Interacció amb els hostes
I will be here to welcome you to our home and show you around. Because this is also my place of work you will often find me working or teaching in my studio. Daytimes can be busy so whilst you are welcome to come and go as you please if you do return during the day please be sensitive to the fact that other people will need to make use of the shared facilities. Monday evenings can sometimes be busy as we host a buddhist meeting from 7.30pm - 9pm which means you may meet about 10 - 15 happy faces as we gather together for a bit of a chant. We totally respect this may not be your thing and will endeavour to be as quiet as possible however if you want to join us you are more than welcome - it's an open meeting.
Altres aspectes destacables
Due to the dogs and this being an artists working studio our home is not suitable for children.
We want you to enjoy your stay and request that smokers do so outside in the garden. We have two small dogs and welcome yours too provided they sleep on the floor in your room and not on the bed. Our garden is dog friendly although you are responsible at all time for their safety and your pet must remain with you at all times. The room is perfect for two but no more. Breakfast is normally served between 7 -9.30am but if you would like it outside of these times just ask and we will do our best wherever possible.
Happy, creative buddhist who can not function without that morning coffee! Addicted to crochet and colour and all things beautiful I never leave home without my crochet hook.
