Ruth was a nice guest; however, she seems to have not read the listing description. We only offer one superfood smoothie with protein, fruits, and veggies in the mornings at 7a till 10a when we open the patio French doors. We are a health and wellness property and do not provide animal based foods or unhealthy foods. The smoothie is the plant-based food provided and includes far more nutrients then any conventional breakfast. The main area where the smoothies are offered is in our private home area and the living room is available from 7a to 8p and we then close and lock the doors. Each guest is advised when the doors are closed and if they need anything to text us on our personal cell phones and we will try to help. Ruth arrived late after the 8p closing of the main house on the occasion she cites. Ruth did not text us and ask for a sleepy tea. The sleepy tea is not part of the items offered and no food or coffee or tea is normally available after 10a and it was a kind offer by Rhonda to share some banana cinnamon tea with her if she was on the property before 8p closing. However, Rhonda stated if she texted her she would bring her a free tea which is not included in our services and Ruth did not text us. The listing description states the area is not well lighted because of the communities effort to limit light pollution for desert star gazing and the gates are not lighted and will not be lighted. However, we do have a cactus light that is an artistic work at the gates. We do have low dimmed lights along the driveway area and the parking area and the entrance to the casitas. The light over the patio door suggestion will not be done. We have low dim lights in the Zen back court yard and these are turned off at 8p and there is lighting along the pathway area 24/7. Ruth also states she wanted a mirror over the second sink which is the small kitchenette located within the casita. Mirror over kitchen sinks are not normal. However, we are considering her suggestion. Ruth was provided soap; however, she wanted bar soap instead of liquid soap. In the future, we will provide a small bar soap. Ruth was provided coffee, smoothie, and tea when she came into the living area after 10a which was past the period of time for these amenities. We are considering placing a coffee maker in the casitas and since it would alleviate availability for some guess who do not want to comply with the hours we set for availability of coffee or tea. Ruth was provided yoga balls and yoga mats to do some stretching which is normally not provided unless Rhonda is paid a fee for services $20 per hour for Yoga and $30 per hour for fitness training. Ruth was allowed these services at no charge and supervision along with her special needs daughter. Ruth did not advise us of her daughters special needs condition. She was also allowed yoga balls in her room at no charge. I am surprised at some of her comments since we provided her services far more then we normally would do. However, even with her comments she is still welcome to return to rent our casitas. We wish her and her family the best and hope she finds peace in her travels.
