The Mono Lake House is centrally located in the most pristine region of California. We are about 20 minutes away from the East Entrance to Yosemite, 30 minutes from Bodie State Park, and we are literally on the shore of Mono Lake. It is an incredible property with a huge lawn to read a book on or to just watch the afternoon thunderstorms roll in. Zac and Justine, your hosts, will give you all the info you need to have an amazing trip in the area.
The Mono Lake House is right on the shore of Mono Lake. This provides our visitors with an amazing view of afternoon thunderstorms, bird migrations, and colorful sunsets. Room 1 is comfortable, clean, and quiet. We use only organic cotton sheets and the room has a very relaxed feel to it. We do not have televisions in any rooms because we feel like there is a lot more to see out here. Room 2 shares a shower with Room 1, however there are two bathrooms to use amongst the two rooms.

Guests in Room 2 of The Mono Lake House are able to use their room and the living room as a space to relax. We have a very large yard in the front and back of the house with lawn chairs scattered around. This is a great place to sit out and enjoy a cup of coffee while reading a book. We are fairly close to Highway 395 so there is a little noise that comes from vehicles driving by. Otherwise, the view of Mono Lake makes this a great place to stay. The kitchen is off limits to our guests, however, a light breakfast such as freshly baked pastries and coffee will be provided between 7am to 9am.

Altres aspectes destacables
There is a resident dog at this property. His name is Bodie and he might be one of the sweetest dogs in the world. He does not bark and he is no bigger than 30 pounds and will only greet you at the door with a wagging tail. If you are not a dog person, have no fear. We will make sure Bodie does not bother you. He is often out and about with us and spends much of his day sleeping otherwise.
Our names are Zac and Justine and we have been living in Santa Cruz, California for 15 years now. Although we call Santa Cruz our home, we also spend a lot of time in the Sierra Nevada and Hawaii. We both love surfing, backpacking, climbing, and cooking delicious, organic, meals. Zac owns a catering business that works with backcountry adventures of all types, and Justine is a photographer at which her profession is wedding photography. We also own a bed and breakfast on the shores of Mono Lake, directly to the east of Yosemite National Park. If you end up staying at our home and enjoy what you see, then go out of your way to come and see us at "The Mono Lake House."
