Bev's house is a wonderful, large, very comfortable vacation home with a drop dead view of the gentle Elk River, perfectly visible from almost every room in the house; yet you are several hundred feet away so the house is quiet and private and secluded. It is only a short walk across a green, gently sloping field from the backyard to the dock, kayak and boat launch and fishing, all of which Bev supplied. There are multiple living/family rooms, and seversl places to eat. The kitchen is stockd with everything imaginable, from a full complement of utensils, dishes, wine glasses, two (2) full-size convection oven, a rotisserie toaster/oven, Jenn Air cooktop grill, wine cooler/refrigerator, outdoor propane grill, etc. She has more spices, condiments, accoutrements, canned good, fresh ground coffee tha: wow, Bev fogot nothing! The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, very comfortable, air-conditioned (except for the loft), washer-drier, outdoor shower, indoor Jacuzzi tub, outdoor hot tub, 3 huge wide-screen flat TVs, fully stocked bathrooms with nice toiletries, soaps, etc. Bev thought of every detail, more than I would have ever expected from an AirBNB. Check-in was a flash; check out was just as easy, and Bev has been extremely flexible about any request, and anticipated virtually every question in her instructions and interim text messages. For Philadelphia area folks who think primarily of the NJ shore, or somtimesthe DE shore, the Chesapeake is just as beautiful, much less crowded, more peaceful and bucolic, and no further than the nearest NJ shore community. (It was 1 hr. 20 mins. door to door from the western Philly suburbs to Bev's place.) It accommodates 6 easily in the 3 bedrooms, and perhaps 8 if you don't mind the heat and humidity in the loft with futon, which has a ceiling fan, but can still be uncomfortable on some particularly hot and humid nights. This is a great bargain for everything that is included and the thoughtfulness of this wonderful hostess. We look forward to returning again.
