Our simple and charming historic Georgian terraced house (Grade 2 listed), built in 1820, is in a quiet cul-de-sac. It is a 10 minute level walk from the city centre and a 1 minute walk to the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath and the countryside. The guest bedroom and bathroom (there is a bath: no shower) are the only rooms on the top floor. Views are of the river valley. We offer free on street parking outside our house and welcome cyclists. We provide a good continental breakfast.
Serveis i zones comuns
The top floor of our house, which comprises a bedroom, bathroom and landing is for your own private use. The back gardens of the terrace are common to all the houses - open, no fences - so we can't offer full access. But we can serve breakfast on the patio at the top of the garden - weather permitting!

We will be happy to recommend restaurants, pubs, museums, cultural activities, local walks, cycle rides and activities in Bath and the surrounding area. We also have an extensive collection of books about Bath.
Altres aspectes destacables
Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Western Railway line runs opposite our house, across the road: the mighty wall he built to separate it from the canal beyond is a remarkable sight from the bedroom window - and if you're lucky there are occasional passing steam trains! Though it's a main line, it's pretty quiet at night.
- No smoking but there is a garden that you can use for smoking
Your hosts are a working artist and a gardener - we both moved to Bath in 1974 and have never seriously wanted to live anywhere else. We're interested in the cultural life and traditions of Bath and beyond and have both travelled extensively - often for work, sometimes for pleasure. We live happily in this idyllic corner of Bath and have an organic allotment just up the road and we make jam!
