Entire house, all to yourself, not just an apartment. A calm peaceful neighborhood oasis, but close to town, surrounded by trees, a huge lawn and plenty of Door County air!
Enjoy your coffee on the sunny porch swing with a peek of the Bay just down the street.
A short stroll takes you into the heart of Sturgeon Bay to enjoy the shops and restaurants along historic Third Avenue. On Saturday mornings, you might stop by the farmer's market along the way.
This is a home more than a vacation house. When we are here, we live here. So you should expect the quirks of a home rather than the more generic qualities of a vacation house. Jennifer is your local host, but Stephen is always available for questions as well.
Downstairs features a porch swing on a great front porch with a peek of the bay and surrounded by a vast lawn, a beautiful large living room and a large eat-in kitchen. Take a short walk into the middle of town or you may want to stroll the four blocks down to the waterfront, walk over the Oregon St. bridge for a spectacular view of the Steel Bridge and the shipyard beyond.

Airbnb takes care of WI State Tax.
However an additional tax collection is required upon arrival:
A 5.5% Door County occupancy tax needs to be collected in person upon arrival. Cash or check is accepted. Please make checks out to DPC, LLC.
(I know it is a bit inconvenient. But this money supports Door County tourism efforts by directly going to the communities, rather than through State coffers first. Thank you for your cooperation!)
A Check for the occupancy tax must be presented as a condition of check in. No check, no check in.
Check in and Check out times are strict unless pre-approved by the Manager, Jennifer. Hers is a busy schedule and must be respected.
Quiet and peaceful neighborhood - no loud parties. The owner lives in Brooklyn, NY and knows all the neighbors. They will let him know of any issues immediately. (Ours is an island. We all know each other's business.)
Any problems with the house must be reported IMMEDIATELY to the manager or you may be held liable for unreported damage.
DO NOT under any circumstances go outside of the upstairs back door.
Toilets and plumbing - One of the kitchen sinks has a disposal. Do not allow anything metal or non-food items to fall in there.
Do not flush any 'extras' down toilets aside from TP. Flushable wipes, etc. are NOT flushable. Trash receptacles are provided for this in each bathroom.
Cleaning - we expect our guests to leave the house as neat and tidy as possible as if this were the house of a member of your family, as it is ours. The cleaning fee covers routine cleaning, linens, vacuuming, etc. It is not a license to leave a mess. (Sorry if that sounds harsh but some folks just don't get it.)
My family has a very long history in Door County. My great-grandmother established a camp for girls in 1916 in Peninsula State Park. Originally from St. Louis, MO, I grew up in Fish Creek and went to Gibraltar HS. Education took me to Boston University and eventually Yale Drama School. In NYC, I've been an actor, director and artistic director of a small theater company. I've also managed Off-Broadway and worked on Broadway productions. Currently I'm working as a Business Analyst and Project Manager for TIAA-CREF.
Barbara was my late mother and this was her last house. She loved Door County and thrived as a caterer / chef here, providing hospitality and exceptionally good food everywhere. Her recipes are embedded in multiple menus throughout Door County. Every now and then I see something on a menu and know that it originated with my mother. If you are good, I will clue you in!
