Our group had a great time staying here! One thing we all agreed on was how the pictures didn't do this home justice. Particularly the back patio which personally appears modest in the photos, but is quite massive once you get back there. Situated right on Findley Lake waking up to the scenery was just gorgeous and all of our encounters with the locals was pleasant. We went to the Brigadoon on both nights, a pub right down the road and the service was fantastic both times!
One thing that you can't really tell from the photos is the size of the parking area. It's a little tight, but we managed to park an SUV and two full size pickups just fine. It's not a con, but just something to keep in mind. The living room is expansive with plenty of furniture. There is a nice large, round kitchen table right when you walk in and a pool/ping pong table centered in the living area. Everything worked as expected including light switches, faucets, showers, and toilets. The only thing I will say about that is there is so many switches everywhere it's hard to remember what turns on what. Again, this is not a con in my mind, but just something to be aware of.
I personally slept in the master bedroom which was a highlight for me. Here again you get to wake up to a beautiful look at the lake as the sunshine cascades through a literal wall of windows. I recommend keeping the blinds closed before taking it all in. My one friend slept in the basement and loved sleeping on the unique fold out sleeper. My other friends slept in the bunks and everyone said they all got a good nigh's sleep both nights.
All in all everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay and one friend said he'd like to come back with his family next year. If we're ever planning to be in the area again we will be sure to look for this place again. I highly recommend staying here without any reservations!
