Guests have their own entrance to the Brick House Annex studio apartment (61-A). The owners live in the historic 1830s Brick House, and they and the massage therapy clients use the front door entrance. An entryway with locked door separates the 61-A apartment from the owner's quarters.
Guests drive to the far end of the (downhill) driveway where there is an area to turn around and park, then walk up 5 steps to a landing at the 61-A door. You can arrive and check-in at any time. There is a lockbox with a key, and the owner will communicate the combination.

You're like our out-of-town cousins, so let us know when you're coming, if you have any questions upon arrival, and then let us know when you're leaving.
Why? Because you're the cousins we like, and because sometimes we can offer very early check-in and late check-out.
We look forward to meeting you and getting you acquainted with the area by answering your questions and providing insider information both during the booking process and when you arrive. We can point you to interesting eateries, freshwater swimming, walking trails, and anything else you are looking to do! We are home in the evenings, and available by phone at any time. If you find the Annex does not have something you need, we'll help you. Let us know when you arrive/depart so we can say Hi/Bye and meet you in between!
Hi! My husband Doug and I live in our 1830s brick house on a tree-lined street in an historic area of downtown Ellsworth. He is a builder, I am a massage therapist. We love to walk to our local pub, the cafe/bakery, to the waterfront park, and to downtown shops! We enjoy helping visitors access and enjoy Acadia National Park and all the towns and villages in our area. When we travel somewhere, we like to find out about the area we're in and feel like we live there. We like to share insider information with our guests, and we will be happy to help you feel like you live here! We love this area of the planet and our corner of Maine. No matter the weather, we say, "Every day is a great day, because we're in Maine".
