We (two adults and two dogs) really loved our stay at Briar Cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. For rainy, cold weather the living room is comfortable and cosy with its log burner. The wifi is good if you want to stay in and stream a film or do a bit of work. For sunny days the garden is very pretty, much bigger than expected, and great for the dogs. There are fantastic views over the town to the hills on the other side of the valley. The kitchen is well equipped with a good sized fridge for longer stays. The bathroom is big and has a very powerful, hot shower with a separate deep bath, great for achy legs!
The cottage is at the top of the town, and there's a lovely stroll downhill through picturesque streets to the harbour, with shops, restaurants and a couple of dog-friendly pubs where you can get a decent pint and some food. There's a path to the coast just around the corner from the cottage, and from there you can walk along the cliffs to the harbour, or go the other way and walk the coastal path to Tintagel and beyond. It's hard work but the scenery is stunning.
