In summary our great value holiday accomodation offers you a private wood fired hot tub (which we can light for you) and an enclosed garden within the stunning setting of our secluded farm and trout fishery. It is the perfect place for getting away from it all and enjoying the wildlife. Our rural location makes it perfect for walking, cycling and exploring this beautiful part of Devon. Pets and families are welcome. The cottage sleeps 4 and it has had great reviews; a warm welcome awaits!
With a large private garden and wood fired hot tub your stay at Bellbrook Fishery is guaranteed to be a relaxing one. Bellbrook Farm Annex, part of which is made from cob and dates back to the 16th century, has been newly decorated in contemporary grey with bright laminate flooring; the bedrooms are furnished in a warm country style. The accomodation is mostly on one level. There are a few stairs down to the second bedroom. The property consists of an open plan living, dining and well equipped kitchen area. It is the centre of the property and the entrance opens into this space. The bathroom, with large shower, is on the right as you enter. The two generous bedrooms are either side of this open plan space and can be made up as twins or super kings. There is Sky TV, internet access, two comfortable sofas and a selection of games and books for those wet weather days!
The cottage forms a private and self contained annex attached to the owner's farm house and is set down a quiet country lane. It is one of two holiday properties (the other is a very uniquely located static caravan that sleeps up to 4 with a log burner and lake views) and forms part of a working Trout Fishery and small holding covering 40 acres.
The large, private garden is very secure for pets and children and, as well as having a grassed area, boasts several areas dedicated to the natural flora such as bluebells, hellebore and primroses. The hot tub is situated on the private and cosy patio area near the entranc and is wood fired with an air bubble system. We light the hot tub for you on your first night. However if we are around we are happy to get it ready for you each day or we can show you how to light a fire if you haven't done it before.
We aim to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and to this end we have provided little luxuries such as Duck Island toiletries as well as everyday essentials from salt and pepper to cling film. Complementary tea, coffee and sugar are provided as our own free range eggs (if available). Dogs and children are most welcome and a travel cot and high chair are available free of charge. We also aim to be as eco-friendly as possible and most of the electricity and heating are provided by solar panels and a biomass boiler. In keeping with these intentions the hot tub is also wood fired.
Here on the farm we breed our own rare breed sheep and at the right time of year our fields are full of lambs. We also have a pair of pet pygmy goats who love a cuddle! There are many beautiful walks right on our doorstep and of course there are the grounds of the fishery to explore. Bellbrook is also an ideal base for walking, riding, cycling or trying your hand at fly fishing - we have a lake suitable for beginners and children and free rod hire is available; tickets start from £15. More details can be found on our website.
We are easily accessed from the A361 - the M5 is only 15 minutes away. The local village of Oakford with a lovely pub is 1.5 miles away and nearby Bampton (10 mins away) has shops, a post office and welcoming pubs with local ales and good food. There are also two excellent restaurants nearby. More shops and supermarkets can be found in Tiverton which is 15 minutes drive – there is also a regular pannier market with tempting local produce. We are close to the historic market town of Dulverton which is known as the gateway to Exmoor National Park and is a must for the cream teas!
We look forward to welcoming you to Bellbrook. Please contact us if you have any questions and check out our website for more details about Bellbrook Valley Trout Fishery. We are available to greet guests until 7pm; as we have a very young family we are unable to welcome guests arriving after this time.
Please note: Whilst we are rural we are not isolated but a car is essential. We are prefect for those guests wanting a relaxing break in beautiful countryside surrounded by nature.
Holidaying with children: please advise us at time of booking if you would like high chair, travel cot (bedding not provided), cutlery and plates. These are available but are not kept in the property.

Altres aspectes destacables
We are rural and a car is a must! Being rural means that our internet is not super fast and mobile phone reception is limited in the area. Vodafone works well in the accommodation. Other networks can get a signal in the car park. We now have 4G in the area so mobile internet is great!
Pets are welcome as long as they are friendly and well behaved. They must not be left alone in the property at any time.
We provide enough wood for you to use the hot tub on a daily 'fair usage' basis.
We ask that all guests respect the peace and tranquillity of the fishery. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead as we have lots of free range animals! We regret that smoking is not allowed. Please leave the accommodation as you found it.
Durant el període del 23 de desembre de 2017 - 05 de gener de 2018 l'estada mínima és de 7 nits .
