Kane’s, your post is demeaning and sad. YOU chose not to stay in my home. We had a late evening emergency that required our immediate attention. The guest instant booked shortly after our emergency. I informed the guest that our home was unavailable in that moment and she insisted that I cancel it. I told her she was free to cancel it, or I could offer a full refund or stay in our brand new upscale home for the same price or stay in the current reservation and check in after the technician was complete to make sure it was safe which was around the time she was intending on checking in for the evening. She kept insisting that I cancel which wasn’t necessary because I had all intentions to accommodate her stay and as a super host we never cancel a guests reservation. We allow our guest to cancel at their own discretion. She insisted on getting me to cancel and also threatened to leave me a bad review because she was out of her money and no place to stay which was inaccurate. She had two beautiful places to stay and if she had canceled or if I had canceled she would not have received an immediate refund because it takes a day or two. Plus her funds were with Airbnb not the host. The host does not get paid until the day after a guest checks in to the home which she is aware of because she is also a Airbnb host. I do understand why she would try to ruin my reputation especially after I also offered to talk to her via phone which she rejected which was unreasonable when a host is doing everything they can to accommodate their guests needs which I offered at two of my homes. I was completely fair, open and honest despite my efforts she called Airbnb to ruin status and write a bad review which was not necessary because she was not without a home for the evening with two homes to choose from that would have accommodated her needs. She rejected both homes and I refunded her money to her as requested and promised.
