In the heart of the wine producing Beaujolais région, Cogny is part of the few remaining « golden stones » towns, so called due to the colour of the limestone used in its historic buildings. Cogny is 30 minutes N of Lyon: known for it’s historical and architectural landmarks as well as exceptional culinary tradition, the town is also a 2 h train ride S of Paris and 2h car drive from Geneva and the surrounding alps.
