My husband Michael and I have lived on these 70-acres since 1990, raising four children and an assortment of pets. Our farm, Northwest Alpacas, has been in business since the first import in 1984. My husband has written four books about alpacas as well as judging them world wide. I founded the Alpaca Fiber Cooperative of North America. We are known in the industry as "alpaca pioneers".
When our kids left the nest in 2006, we started Oakwood Gardens as a way to see more beautiful things grow and flourish. We enjoy nature, traveling, gardening, architecture, the arts, antique shopping, and real food. Most of all we look forward spending time with our four adult children enjoying our family traditions. In the spring of 2016 we opened our first Airbnb unit. It has been a delight to meet such a wonderful assortment of people to share our garden and farm with.
