We bought the Downeast Coastal Retreat in 2003 and completely renovated the 1840s farmhouse. Cathy integrated the overall design, colors, and furnishings the house. We've spent the last decade improving the gardens, yard, fields, and hiking trails on the property. We spend the spring and fall on site, are will be your hosts during this period if you use our bed and breakfast services at those times. From mid-June to August 31, we rent the entire house by the week to summer vacationers. During the winters and summers, we live in our southern Maine homestead and engage in gardening, art making, conservation work, socializing and enjoying our local grandchildren. We are passionate about friends, food, and hospitality.
