Queen room features private terrace. Also, guests have welcome access to all season veranda with flatscreen, wifi, wood stove and kitchen. Our home has three gardens-lots of space to relax and get some quiet time.
The first stones of our home were set in 1883. The latest add-on was completed in 1995. Come relax on breezy verandas, grill out in the garden, play with the turtles, or take a walk to the 17th century LaMartine Castle and Hammana's beautiful falls. As your host, we just want to see that you're relaxed and having a great time without worry or work. You can rent a bed, a room, the downstairs apartment or the whole house [please note as of February 1st the downstairs apartment will be unavailable as we have a tenant].
Our street is all family - very nice people who will love to help make your stay the best it can be. In June, Hammana has a Cherry Festival every year. During summer, there are many eateries open for you to enjoy, and Hammana has lots of shopping for shoes, clothes, local wares and jewelry. For any touring, we will let you know the best hot spots, some are fairly near and others are far. Either way, you can take public transit or let us be your private chauffeurs. The rate depends on the tour. We will give you accurate information on everything you need to know - then the choice is totally up to you.
Please note that Lebanon does experience regular, daily rolling black outs / we're on 220V as well but most cell phone chargers are already adapted - check yours for compatibility.
When you book well in advance, we can also arrange for local dinner with friends - nothing says Hammana like a table full of home prepared food! There are also beautiful swimming pools in the valley - we'd love to take you there any time! Cheers, and may your travels be great.

Anthony and I were in the United States for 13 years. We came to Lebanon in 2010 to spend more time with family and raise our three kids. Anthony is a contractor and I teach English and guitar. I'm also a freelance writer. Anthony's great-grandfather was the first person to build on this property. The house has had many add-ons over the years. We live here with our three kids, and Anthony's mom, Hafiza. As your host, we simply look to see that you are relaxed, comfortable and enjoying the mountains of Lebanon without stress or work.
