Our 2-story log cabin (approx. 1,700 sq. ft.) provides plenty of outdoor refreshment with a spacious front porch and back deck with a dual gas/charcoal grill, balcony, wooden swing, and a firepit with plenty of cut firewood. It sits within a private holler on 105 acres along the edge of the Daniel Boone National Forest. The rustic-chic decor inside combines antique furnishings, repurposed barn wood paneling, unique lighting, electric fireplace, and a claw-footed tub amidst modern conveniences.

It’s a 30 minute drive to Renfro Valley and 75 minutes to the countless trails in Red River Gorge and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.

We welcome you to the Johnetta Schoolhouse Inn in beautiful Climax Ky. Our schoolhouse was built and 1928 and is a historical landmark. It has been renovated into a two bedroom dwelling with a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room with all necessary supplies. The Inn is nothing fancy, but is clean and quant. Being a rustic cabin, there is no kitchen but a charcoal grill is provided as well as a fire pit. There is a portable toilet and an outdoor cold water shower close to the cabin. Feel free to bring a generator if you would like electricity.
