Open plan downstairs with well equipped kitchen, diner & sitting room , fridge, cooker, microwave, TV. Shower room & toilet are downstairs, together with cupboard space for clothing. The garden is facing the mountains with a southern aspect so is also a perfect place to simply soak up the peaceful scenic surroundings. The house is a great base to explore the wonderful Gems that Co.Kerry has to offer. The house is a 10 min drive from Killorglin, 20 mins from Killarney and 1 hour drive from Dingle & Kenmare.

Cottage is Off Grid, lights and fridge are solar powered,. Cooker, hot water, heating and shower are powered by gas.

The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

My space is ideal for couples and the solo traveler alike. My Studio apartment is attached to my home (a traditional Irish farmhouse) . We are surrounded by the most spectacular mountains on 3 sides and to the front it opens up to the beautiful Derriana lake. When you look out the front window of my studio you will be greeted by the lake and see Waterville in the distance. I am situated about 20 minutes from the village of Waterville and about 20 minutes from the town of Cahersiveen.

Seals can be seen from time to time as can the fishing boats going out to sea.
