Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

Welcome to River Cottage---This is a very nice cottage home overlooking the Wabash River. The host lives upstairs. Guests will have access to the entire main floor of the cottage that includes a private entrance. The cottage includes a kitchen (all new appliances), bathroom, living room, dining area, and laundry. There are complete amenities throughout and the views are priceless. Don't be shocked to see a family of deer in the backyard. Please make sure to read the House Rules.

The lighted screened porch and open deck sit above the west creek near the banks of the Middlefork River -- enjoy nature at its midwestern best. This home is surrounded by oaks, maples, and walnut trees, so the birds are all around, along with other wildlife. Middlefork, designated as a "National Scenic River". No TV….relax.

A peaceful retreat for those who want some time away from the noise and the hectic pace of the workworld. In the winter, the fireplace and picture windows create a bird-watcher's paradise.
