Great for swimming, fishing, and enjoying nature. 14 foot aluminum boat provided, no motor...but it's only about 150 ft from our dock on shore to our dock on the island. Boat traffic on the Trent can be a little busier on weekends, so there could be the odd wave which could make it difficult for swimming with or even fun for children. My whimsical & quaint cottage is 5klm from town which hosts a Foodland, LCBO, Pub, ice cream window and Home Hardware. Balsam Lake Provincial Park and Indian Point Provincial Park are close as well. I love my cottage because of the gardens, the chandeliers, the purple doors and the glorious clean river! The cottage itself is 900sq.ft. of cuteness & the property is 100 x200sqft. Canoeing, kayaking, bbqing, swimming, snorkeling and river floating are daily activities.

The Log Cabin is directly across from the Petroglyphs Provincial Park (May-Oct); however, you can hike all year long, even with the gates closed, and also down the road to Stoney Lake with full access to a public beach (May-Oct). Perfect getaway any time of the year.
