Situades en una frontera de Croàcia i Eslovènia, les capitals estan a només 45 (Zagreb) i a 90 minuts (Ljubljana) en cotxe. A prop es troba el poble de Kumrovec i el seu famós museu etnogràfic d'espai obert "Staro selo" (El poble antic), i els parcs termals i de benestar Terme Tuhelj i Terme Olimija.
