Today, it is a private Estate with big jungle trees, about 4km of trails, fruit orchards and beautiful gardens. The house has been fully renovated and is welcoming and comfortable. A large wrap-around terrace looks out toward Volcán Barú and La Amistad Park. Hacienda Viva offers a setting to slow down and reconnect. Clean, comfortable and safe. Your home away from home in Almirante, Bocas del Toro! We also offer pick up/drop off service to and from the water taxis and the bus station in Almirante. Please note that Almirante is on the mainland and is not a tourist destination. Most people use it as a stopover on their way to the islands of Bocas del Toro. However, if you choose to stay in the area we are happy to recommend local restaurants and activities such as chocolate tours, river rafting, etc.

From the dock, Casa Loma is a short 5 minute walk up a beautiful jungle trail. A 150 meter walk will take you to all the Carenero surf breaks. The house faces West and the sunsets are amazing! From the deck, watch the parrots as they fly over the island. Kayaks are available🙂
