The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

UPDATE: The historic fireplace is now operational!! Just steps away from the water, the St. Clair Cottage provides beautiful views of Lake St. Clair. You will the love seclusion of nearly two acres of property surrounding the cottage. The perfect place to enjoy a sunny day on the lake or a cup of tea on a rainy day. With adult and kids kayaks, a rowboat, paddleboat, and canoe we have lots of options to get out and explore the lake. Or take a dip off the private dock when the weather is warm.

Resthaven Guest House is a very nicely furnished one bedroom home that includes all you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable. On 23 acre horse farm with 510 feet of private beach and 1 1/2 miles of walking trails. Relax, enjoy eagles, blue heron, seals, and an occasional Orca.

Only a couple hours(or less) to Rainier & Olympic National parks, the ocean, zoo, wildlife parks.
