It is located in the most prestigious part of Budapest (best part of District V) a stone's throw from Parliament, and the most beautiful square Szabadsag where the American Embassy resides. It is also a short walk to Margaret Island for relaxation and exercise. The building itself with lift is in immaculate condition externally and internally adding to the experience of the apartment itself. It features a dedicated home office so is particularly good for those travelling on business or simply wish to have a dedicated space to catch up on work and emails as required. The kitchen features a five hob, three electric oven range cooker with dedicated dining area in the stylish hallway area so is wonderful for evening entertainment. The main living room has a new bluetooth enabled media and music player system along with smart TV. It is very unusual to find an apartment with A/C in Budapest due to restrictions on installation but this apartment comes with full hot cold function. It also has a back up electric hot water heating system in the event of a problem with the main boiler. Both bathrooms are en-suite with the master bathroom having both roll top bath with mixer and separate shower. Architectural features include period illumination, door fittings and artwork from Buenos Aires, designer furniture from UK providers, period bathroom fittings from Victorian Plumbing, parquet, mouldings, french style wall panelling and vitreaux. If the pressure drops there is a filling loop which feeds the boiler which should be switched on for no more than a couple of seconds and then switched off again. Both showers feature an “anti-scald” feature. This is a small button on the shower mixer which cuts supply to the hot water if there is a temporary interruption of cold. If the button is in the “high” position simply depress and simultaneously turn the mixer tap anti-clockwise The main water supply switch off is under the shelf space in the cupboard immediately to the left of the of the kitchen sink. To access take out the shelf and then using a small screwdriver insert to the valve and turn to shut off. Kitchen The electrolux reverse action tumble dryer is a condensor model so it traps the water in a plastic tank on the left hand side of the machine. Once this fills up (it wont go on if its full) you need to simply take out and drain water and then re-insert. It is also important to take out any fluff from the filter at the front of machine to ensure it operates correctly. If it is simply an individual item that has loss of electricity power then check the upper fuse box and see which switch has dropped and switch on again, all are labelled according to function. Miscellaneous Lowering the blinds at night helps reduce street noise and also helps heat insulation. Generally speaking no loud noise is tolerated in Hungary after the cut-off of 9pm Plastic and paper should be separated for recycling. All bins are on the ground floor rear of the building Access Access to the building is using the blue magnetic key device which should be touched or held close to the street buzzer panel. The apartment is located on the third floor. Take the lift to the third floor and on coming out turn right and the entrance door is on the corner. Guests can buzz up from the street typing in “23” and the intercom button automatically opens the front door. Live like a local citizen! The studio apartment is our own flat, what we started listing on airbnb in 2014. During this time, we learnt a lot from our guests, and we're always improving something in the apartment. The building is historic, approximately 150 years old. But the flat is modern, and was recently renovated. It is situated in the city centre, so you can reach everything within a few steps. We're looking forward to welcome you!
