It is quiet, isolated and forms the perfect base for a wide range of outdoor activities such as hill climbing, kayaking, walking and fishing all available locally. Braidholm is our home on Skye. It's a 19th century building, warm and cosy. Step in from the weather and hunker down in the comfy sofa in front of a log fire. The kitchen is cottage style, with everything you'd expect in a modern home. Two bedrooms upstairs (kingsize in one, twins in the other, all with Egyptian Cotton, 400 thread-count linen) with sea views . Two bathrooms upstairs (one ensuite), a toilet downstairs. Private garden plus parking for 2 cars. 300m from the centre of Portree.

Garden Cottage with hot tub, castle & sea views

This charming cottage is completely unique having the old Redcastle ruin as a back drop and views of the Beauly Firth directly in front. There is an idyllic stream going through the garden and we have recently planted a wild flower meadow at the end of the garden. It has been beautifully refurbished in 2023 and we feel incredibly proud of the results. The cottage is located in the sleepy hamlet of Milton of Redcastle and really is an idyllic and very comfortable place to come and unwind.

A delightful place to stay and newly finished in May 2019 'The Wee House' can be found right next door to our own (slightly bigger) house, 'Heisgeir'. We will be on hand just next door to give you a warm welcome and to ensure your stay with us, and whilst you explore the Skye and Lochalsh area , is both enjoyable and peaceful. Being born and brought up in the area we hope our local knowledge will allow you make the most of your trip.
