Herdy Lodge - Cosy Family Getaway

Herdy Lodge is a contemporary take on a country cottage (Insta =HerdyLodge) It is within our family smallholding on the Northern slopes of the Eden Valley where we farm our happy flock of herdwick sheep. It has a modern, crisp interior and good ecological credentials inc a wood pellet boiler and "passive" building design. It has a private drive and garden with a terrace looking directly onto the lakeland fells. Plenty to do nearby: Takin Tarn, Hadrian's Wall, Lakes and Dales, Rhegged Centre.

The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Come and relax in the woods with a book or grab your hiking boots or bikes and explore the surrounding countryside. We're a 20 minute drive from the coast which has stunning cliff top walks and beautiful little bays and fishing villages. Lodge has a private hot tub, parking, wifi, TVs... everthing you'd want and more for a home away from home. We also welome dogs. Serenity Lodge is set in 48 acres of woodland, and has a small lake to the rear of the cabin. This gives you plenty space to walk and explore. If nature isnt your thing then there is some lovely pubs and restaurants in the area for you to enjoy.
