A gem in the heart of a Cumbrian market town

Our home is close to both the Lakes and the sea, situated in the centre of the vibrant market town of Ulverston which is packed with a good variety of restaurants and non chain bars. The cottage was built in 1890 and is located in the heart of the town. The house has good kitchen stocked with all the basics, from herbs, condiments and even the odd tin of baked beans, so if you fancy cooking, you can!. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, friends and business travellers.

The tranquil setting of The Spinney, above the River Cocker, with spectacular views over to Whinlatter, is an ideal location to explore the north western Lakes. Set in two acres of mature trees, gardens and river frontage, with lots of wildlife.

The town of Kendal, in the Lake District National Park, a world heritage site, is 10miles to the west. Access from the M6 at Junction 37 is 5 miles from Sedbergh. We are situated at the foot of the Howgill Fells a great area for walking and cycling.
