Ahh....The Good Life Cottage is located approximately five miles north of Laurel, MS where it began on a patch of ground that was fully cultivated from the 1900's to the 1960's, afterwards it became a family farm that grew corn, hay, and food for livestock and family. Today, on the land is a farmhouse with modern amenities as well as the sights and sounds of nature all around you, frogs croaking, crickets chirping, deer feeding, turkeys foraging, and owls hooting. Enjoy easy access to popular shops and restaurants inLaurel from this cozy cottage. Our home was featured on HGTV’s HomeTown. While we live in the main house, we had Katie (contractor on show) remodel the two rooms behind us as guest rooms. We have added carvings to the landscape, a whole house generator, and a few places to sit and enjoy the outside. Our episode was called Woodland Wonderland, but better known as the Hobbit House.
