The Garden Folly Guest House

Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

Quaint Cottage Studio in Ashley Forest (Avondale).

Take in the peace, calm, and hospitality of Charleston at this small, quaint, stand-alone cottage. The studio is situated on our property and shares an outdoor lounge and dining area. Located in the neighborhood of Ashley Forest, a small corner of Avondale, you are walking distance to breweries, cafes, wine bars, sushi restaurants and more. Downtown is a 10 minute ride share away, and there is also a bus stop five minutes from the property that will take you to the heart of King Street.

Centrally located on James Island, halfway between Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. It's only 3 miles to downtown Charleston's significant historic sites and world class restaurants. Folly Beach is 7 miles away and home to beautiful beaches, surfing, fishing and wonderful food and nightlife. The porch over looks the large lot that is framed in by four majestic Grand Oaks that are draped with Spanish Moss, hence how the cottage was named. While relaxing it is possible to see the occasional deer, turkey, racoon and fox.
