There are numerous hiking trails and waterfalls. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain offer skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. There is exceptional mountain biking as close as 8 miles from the house. Zip lines and other attractions near by.

Our town is a sort of traffic nucleus, with Charlotte approximately 1 hour to the east, Asheville less than 1 hour to the west, and Lenoir heading to Boone 20 minutes to the north. We are 5-20 minutes away from 5 hospitals which is perfect for traveling nurses and doctors. We want to add to your travel experience!

It has a heated indoor pool so even in the winter time you can enjoy the water with view of the lake. There is a dock as well. So if you happen to want to enjoy the lake, you can.
