A former Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage in a spectacular remote location on the Isle of Mull. Built by the Stevensons in 1857, Rubha nan Gall Keeper's Cottage has been completely renovated and now offers a comfortable home for up to 6 guests from which to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and abundant wildlife. Access is via a coastal footpath, a 25 min walk from Tobermory and there is NO vehicle access. The cottage is off-grid, but solar panels, a spring and WiFi mean you probably won’t notice.

Cottage 2 has 2 bedrooms (sleeps 4+1) and is one of the original lightkeepers' cottages. With a professional interior design, it is very comfortable with a 4* Visit Scotland grading. The cosy sitting room has a woodburning stove for those times when the wind and North Sea are livelier than usual. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME.

Lighthouse Keepers Cottage, Dunnet Head, Scotland

Stay at the at the most northerly point of the Scottish mainland in traditional Lighthouse Keepers Cottage No 2. Enjoy panoramic views north across the Pentland Firth to Orkney, the Old Man of Hoy, and west to the hills of Cape Wrath. There are moorland walks direct from the cottage, while puffins, razorbills and guillemots nest on the stunning cliffs below the lighthouse. Seals are often heard on the rocks below. Look out too for passing whales as well as the many ships that ply the Firth.

Living in a Lighthouse

A magical converted 18th-century lighthouse located on the edge of the picturesque village of Winterton-on-Sea, Norfolk. A building with a rich history, mentioned in Defoe's Robinson Crusoe and used as a lookout tower during World War II. The original tower has now been extended at ground level, with a simple glass and timber structure, which opens onto a cedar deck and garden. The property has been widely featured in interiors magazines and national newspapers.

A stunning former lighthouse keeper’s cottage, Lighthouse Point has the most amazing views of the lighthouse and dramatic sea views down the Clyde approach, past Bute, towards Arran. Situated at Toward Point in Argyll, this beautiful cottage offers a luxurious stay with views to die for. If you can be tempted away from gazing out of the south facing sunroom, watching the sea, yachts and other marine traffic, it is less than two minutes’ walk to the water.

A Beautiful Modern 1 bedroom suite in the private garden of Guest House with private bathroom and kitchen. There is fully equipped second shared kitchen in the main guest house you can also use but please make sure you clean after using. Children are permitted , however the house is not equipped for children therefore no responsibility can be held . There is free parking in the front of the property on private driveway but must be confirmed prior booking.

This magnificent house, in its breathtaking location, is a proud example of Ireland's maritime heritage. Guests can enjoy spectacular views over Belfast Lough from the Lightkeepers' Houses. Lying 20 miles north of Belfast, Whitehead is only a 40 minute train journey away from city center shopping and many historical tours.

Foghorn cottage is only minutes from the capital Douglas and all amenities, but feels so remote and wonderfully free. Please note, the cottage is only accessible by foot via the footpath across the beach or from the top of Douglas head. 200 steps one way. (takes about 5 minutes to walk) Short video is available if required.
