Welcome to our 1-bedroom, pet friendly cottage on the river in Waterville, Ohio! There is a queen bed as well as a large "L" shaped sofa that sleeps 2 comfortably. It abuts a 12-mile-long nature trail that winds along the river for hiking & biking. We have 12 cottages & a VW Bus campsite so let us know if you need additional accommodations for friends or family. Free use of kayaks and canoes to explore the beautiful islands. The Red Barn Guest House is structurally detached from the owner’s main residence and has all of its own amenities. Situated on 5 acres, the house has a large front porch and fire pit for outdoor relaxation. Inside, the luxuries abound with granite countertops and modern appliances.

Overlooking the scenic Maumee River, our modern suite is near many local favorites such as Side Cut Metropark, Fallen Timbers Mall, Fort Meigs, restaurants, and more! (see guestbook). The suite features a private entrance, sleeps up to 6, full bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplaces, Wi-Fi, and more. A staircase leads down to a beautiful valley and river beach. Enjoy water recreation such as fishing, kayaking, swimming, etc. It's a great location for walleye season and a fisherman's dream!

"Our Little House"

This is a great little house for coming to visit friends and family in the area or if you're just passing through. We do not have central air, but we do have a portable air conditioner unit in the bedroom which makes it cool and comfortable. A lot of people that stay call "Our Little House" a cottage. I think it could also be called "The Little Cottage on the Highway". We are located on a highway, but our little house sits back far enough that the highway has never been a problem, noisewise.

Please note this is an attached, above-garage loft. It is separate from the main living quarters and has aprivate entrance.

We are conveniently located just 3 minutes away from the 75/I80 interchange with several stores and restaurants just 1 exit away! We love our military so ask about our discount after booking!

Rusty's Loft

Rusty's Loft is a second story chalet style one room apartment. With 360 degree views of farm fields, woods and a pond. There is a large wrap around deck with comfortable furniture. The 900 sf space includes a full bath and full kitchen with all appliances and accessories. The full bath is fully furnished with lots of towels and bathroom necessities. There’s a campsite behind the loft with a double swing and rocking chairs as well as a fire pit and included firewood.

Located within 10 minutes of historic Grand Rapids, Waterville and Whitehouse Ohio and 30-40 minutes from Toledo. There are several Metroparks located within a 10 minute drive, and the Maumee River and the Maumee State Forest are also nearby.
