Què farem?

Are you curious to visit a place full of history still belonging to the most ancient Florentine family? Under the Tuscan sun at the shade of the Villa you will enjoy a magnificent view over vineyards and olive groves. I will tell you the fascinating history of my family, deeply connected with the local territory producing wine here since 1500s. We will visit the ancient cellar under the Villa, treasuring wine in old wooden barrels and learn about the different grapes we produce with the greatest care. You will have the possibility to learn about the process of traditional wine-making and touch history with your hand: the traditional ‘orcio’ tins for oil, ‘carattelli’ for Vinsanto. Finally, in a relaxing atmosphere we will enjoy our wines and guide you to discover your Tuscan soul-wine.

Ciao! I am Gerardo, entrepreneur, sommelier, romantic vigneron. Wine lover!.
I was born and raised among the beauties of Florence but also in the nearby Tuscan countryside surrounded by my family’s olive groves and vineyards. My love for wine has refined in time just like our wine refines in the wooden barrels in the ancient cellar. I grew up learning from my father and grandfather the secrets behind wine of excellence.

The passion for wine pushed me to explore the world at the discovery of wines and now it brought me back to my origins in the family winery that for 25 generations has been producing wine in the green heart of Chianti Rufina.
I will talk to you about Chianti Rufina, the smallest of the Chianti with its strict rules and together we will let enchanted by the genuine taste of tradition.

That was definitely an interesting experience. Gerardo picked me up at train station, so that was easy to get there from Florence. The thing that I like most, is that Gerardo answered all my questions (I had a lot!). He really took into a consideration my beginner level in wine tasting and explained everything very clear. I enjoyed that a lot

Incredible!! We were staying in Florence and were a little hesitant to book because we did not have a car but the train to the Sieci train stop (where we were picked up and dropped off) was super easy to get to and only like two euros. We had a very personalized tour and then had the best wine of my life. Paired amazingly with cheese and salami. Highly, highly recommend! If you love dogs make sure that you tell them you want to meet Brick when you hear her barking. She's the cutest!!

Gerardo was an amazing host ! He was very friendly. I got lost on the way there (my bad, because it is actually pretty easy to get there), and my data wasn’t working, and long-story-short, he still picked me up close to the train station even 45 min after the time I was supposed to be there. I wasn’t expecting such a nice gesture! The experience in general was very good. He really loves what he does and he’s very good at it. The wines very amazing and I learned a lot (which was really cool for me, because I’m a zero in wine knowledge). The house is beautiful and everyone there is lovely. 100% recommend ! (But maybe don’t make him wait like I did !)

My wife & I booked this excursion last minute in response to a less gloomy forecast than we initially anticipated. Gerardo was prompt in answering our questions prior to booking (we had a time crunch and he replied essentially immediately to our transportation questions), and he was generous enough to pick us up from the train station to drive us up the hills to his beautiful estate. Gerardo took us through his family history, as well as the history of the region. He answered all of our questions about their history and the wine making process, and we walked away truly feeling like we learned a lot about wine and the history of the region. The tasting was lovely, including the olive oil tasting! We also ordered a case of wine to be shipped home, and we are very excited to receive it soon! Great value and a very unique experience. We were lucky as it was just the two of us on our excursion, and the intimacy of the tour really made the experience all the more enjoyable. 5 star experience. Thank you for the great time, Gerardo. We look forward to coming back in the future.

This was certainly one of the highlights of my trip. Gerardo is a fantastic host. He was patient and prompt to answer all queries related to reaching the estate. It is a simple train ride from Florence. I got off at Sieci station from where Gerardo picked me and my husband and drove to his estate. Right from arrival at Sieci, you will fall in love with this postcard town. The drive is right of the movies andabsolutely picturesque. Gerardo gave a fantastic tour of the estate and explained the wine making process. He answered all my questions patiently. Finally, let's come to the wine. The wines were just spectacular. I am looking forward to enjoying the wine that I just bought from him. I highly recommend this experience. Please do not miss it. It is just too beautiful!
