Què farem?
We will meet up at Acropolis Metro station and then walk around the Acropolis area and stop by every major site. Those include:
- Handrianns Arch
- Olympion Temple
- St. Aikaterini (roman baths)
- Lisicratis monument (Plaka area)
- Dionysus theatre
- Acropolis museum
- Parthenon
- Odeon of Herodis Attikus
- Socrates prison (Philoappou hill)
- Areopagus (Ancient market overview)
- Roman market
- Monastiraki sq.
During those stops we will talk about the history of Athens, and Greece in general, about each of the monuments (when and why it was made, what made it important, who constructed it, etc) and you will listen to some of the myths of ancient gods and heroes!
The tour ends at Monastiraki sq. where you have access to metro and is in walking distance from Syntagma and other central areas of Athens (Plaka, Psiri, Thisseion)
During the tour you are free to ask any question regarding the places we visit, or information regarding you stay in Greece
Please note that this is a walking tour of the area and an introduction to the city, so we are not going to enter any of the sites listed.
From November to April the tour runs only on weekends. If you want to go on a weekday please contact me or ask through airbnb for a specific day
Other things to note
This is walking tour, so we are not going to enter any of the sites. The duration is about 2,5 hours. It is better to wear walking shoes and bring a bootle of water

Hello and thanks for checking my tour!
I am Fotis, an amature guide with great love about history and culture! I ve lived my whole life in Athens, and I have walked almost every street. So I wanted to know everything I could, and found information for all the major sites of my city!
Then I was introduced to the walking tours culture during my trips, and I thought it was a great way to introduce someone to your city. That was when I decided to take the task and create a walking tour about Athens, focusing on the Acropolis area, the part of the city that holds most of the archeological sites!
So I am proud to present the Athens Historical Tour - Acropolis Walk! I hope you will enjoy it!

Fotios was quite friendly, helpful, and insightful the entire time. He displays a pretty good knowledge of Greek history, mythology, and Athens as a city overall. Would recommend if you have the time and want good context of what you're seeing in the Acropolis.
