Què farem?

We will start in the historic old town, share a cuppa of organic tea in a heritage designated building (that may or may not have a ghost).

From there, we will embark on a 90 minute walking tour of the old town and dock areas of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

We will see where Canada's first newspaper was published, the beautiful gazebo, where the thriving dock area was, see the remnants of Railroad turntable, drink from a fresh spring if you dare ;).

We will visit the Freedom Park, which pays homage to the end of Slavery in British North America, we will chat about the people that played roles in the Underground Railroad, Chloe Cooley and more important historical figures that led to the abolishment of slavery.

We will enjoy some beautiful views of Toronto and Fort Niagara in Youngstown New York, see where the Game Trivial Pursuit was invented, talk about movies filmed in NOTL and more. .

We will be walking down some of the prettiest residential streets in Canada and you will have many photo ops.

Our walking tour begins in the Old Town and concludes in the Old Town and we will be going places you can't access on your own.

We include free parking in Old Town - when you book I'll let you know where.
Other things to note

Hi, I've lived in Niagara-on-the-Lake for 6 years and have fallen in love with it. I'm an avid traveller, history buff and all around geek about interesting facts. My goal is to show you my town in a way that only a local can :)

On this fun tour, we will experiences many of the locals favourite spots. I will give you a deeper understanding of the importance Niagara-on-the-Lake has in the in the building of Canada. Hint - Did you know NOTL, was Canada's first capital city?

Super Bonus - We will visit spots that can't be accessed by yourself.

I own a business in the Old Town and spend my days sharing the unique history of our town with visitors, so taking folks to those places will be that much more fun for both of us.

On aniràs?

We will visit the Queens Royal Park, where a stunning Gazebo surrounded by flowers makes the perfect lookout. We will take time at the monument that celebrates the brave folks that swam across Lake Ontario to Toronto. We will carry on to the Beach front, where once upon a time, the War of 1812 was taking place and later a thriving dock area.

Terri-Lynn was a flexible, gracious and entertaining host. She set the tour up just for us and kept us amused with historical facts and trivia as we walked the pretty, snowy streets.
