Què farem?
You will learn how to choose a suitable design (don't worry if you cant draw I have lots of templates available!) Then I will show you how to stretch the silk onto a frame in preparation for painting. Next you learn how to use gutta (an outliner), to draw your picture and then add colour to your painting with silk paints.
I will introduce you to several different techniques to add different textures and patterns to the painted areas and finally once dry and heated in a normal oven to fix the paints you will take home a finished painting!
Other things to note
We welcome everyone but we cannot cater for disabled people due to steep steps up to the house.

I am a self employed Graphic Designer (National Diploma - Credit), and Artist. I have been teaching my skills (silk painting and jewellery making) for over 10 years now at my own home and also at the Shoreham Art Gallery where I was an exhibiting artist and have also been a guest artist.
I have been painting on silk since I first took a course 10 years ago, it's fairly easy to learn in a few hours and the experience is totally absorbing and very relaxing. I believe that I give my guests a fun and relaxing time. The courses are held in a light and airy room where I can teach up to 6 people.

The room I teach in is bright and airy overlooking the garden. Refreshments and lunch are provided for my guests so please let me know if you have any allergies etc. at the time of booking
