Què farem?
We will visit the highlights of Belgrano district: tiny but colourful and bustling ChinaTown (Barrio Chino) and the green oasis of Barrancas de Belgrano.
The tour will start at Juramento metro station (easy to reach with line D).
We will get to know a bit about the history of Argentina while walking through Plaza Manuel Belgrano where La Redonda church as well as Larreta and Sarmiento museums are located.
We will reach the park Barrancas de Belgrano, which is a popular meeting place for locals to chill, drink mate and sunbathe. We will look for the Statue of Liberty`s little sister and get to know the history of Argentinian flag.
We will than continue to Barrio Chino - little ChinaTown of Buenos Aires, which is full of asian shops and restaurants. We will try local delicacies, including famous Melona ice-cream and take a look into the `poco de todo` shops.
The tour will finish at La Glorieta de las Barrancas, where dancers of all ages and levels come to dance tango in the evenings.

Being traveller at heart, long-time CouchSurfing member and tourism graduate, I`ve always loved discovering new places, learning about cultures, meeting people and getting to know the local point of view.
After quitting my desk job in 2017 and travelling the world for over a year, I have decided to settle in Argentina and ever since I keep discovering the beauty of Buenos Aires.

On aniràs?
We will visit as follows: Avenida Juramento, La Redonda Church, Plaza Manuel Belgrano, Barrancas de Belgrano and Chinatown (Barrio Chino).
NOTE: on the weekends Barrio Chino gets really busy and crowded with tourists, so if you wish to enjoy it more calm I recommend choosing the visit during the weekdays.
On the other hand during the weekends you can also enjoy the handicraft fair La Feria de Artesanos de Belgrano.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS! :)

It was our first Airbnb experience and it was absolute perfection. Justina was like an old friend welcoming us to her town. She was very friendly and shared some history about Belgrano but the highlight was sharing with us the culture, specifically, how to prepare mate, drink it, and the cultural nuances while sharing it with friends. We all sat down under a big tree at the park while she gave us the presentation on mate, brought us treats to eat with it, and taught us how to prepare it and share it amongst friends. We also got to try Melona which was neat. She went above and beyond by directing us to the official Riverplate store on her way back home. Justina is very personable and professional at the same time. We really loved our experience with her and like I said, it was like meeting up with an old friend. We left with smiles on our faces. Truly lovely time!

Justina was amazing! The tour started off very casual like two friends meeting up for a walk, it didn't feel like a tour with two strangers at all. She showed me the Belgrano neighborhood which I found exquisite, we went to China Town and tried some good and some candy for the heat! She even showed me how to ride the bus in Buenos Aires, and we skipped the schedule to visit a local fair in Palermo! Everything was so amazing!!! She is very sweet, has great energy and is able to keep a good conversation for hours!! Thank you, J!
