Què farem?

In this photo tour I'll not only teach you how to take better pictures but also how to think like a pro.
We'll discover the Old Genoese neighborhood of Galata with our cameras to find some unique angles along the way.
After meeting at Şişhane Metro Station we'll walk towards Galata Tower passing next to Neve Shalom synagogue. After a stroll around the Galata Tower taking pictures of the people we will go to a rooftop where we can see panoramic views of Istanbul.
I'll show you some of the oldest Genoese structures of the city that are still standing before taking pictures of the most photogenic stairs of Istanbul.
We'll stroll around the hardware district of the city finding some little known treasures and hidden corners for photography including a mosque, old traders inn and graffitis.
After a visit to the local fish market our tour will end against a panoramic skyline of the city and we'll learn how to include the people in our cityscapes. Apart of being a photo tour you'll also learn about the history of the neighborhood, supported with interesting stories.

Depending on the day of the week some of the places we plan to visit may be closed.

On aniràs?

Galata Tower is going to be our main backdrop while seeking for colorful characters on the streets. We'll climb to a rooftop with a great panorama for cityscapes.
We'll discover temples and some old structures witnessed the history including Kamondo Stairs, old financial district and an ancient traveler's inn. The graffitis scattered among the hardware stores and the local fish market will be seen before we end the tour at a photogenic spot.

Don’t miss this experience! Kemal is a true expert in photography and it shows. This is not one of those experiences where someone else takes your picture posing in front of buildings-it’s so much better! Kemal taught me all new things about what my camera could do that I never even knew about! He has a wealth of experience and he took a lot of time to make me feel comfortable and challenged my comprehension to make sure I was retaining the information. The best AirBnB experience I’ve had. This was a truly exceptional experience. Kemal is a world-class instructor with an intimate knowledge of the city and decades of experience in teaching photography. The settings ranged from iconic locations to intimate one-on-one encounters with locals, taking their portraits and sharing stories.
