I am the co-founder of Tasting Crete. A unique spot that creates gastronomic experiences in Heraklion City Center, based on the food culture of Crete. After spending many years abroad and completing my Ph.D. in Anthropology, I decided to return to my hometown and focus on food tourism. The last 6 years I have invested all my time and energy in highlighting the magnificent food and the amazing flavors of Crete through the histories of its people. Together with my business partner, we have created Tasting Crete, where people can explore, learn, and interact through gastronomic experiences.

We loved our tasting with Georgios! He was extremely knowledgeable about the olive oils he shared with us, the tasting technique, and production of the oil. He even catered to me being vegan. Definitely a highlight of our time in Crete.

If you come to Crete, this is a most. As someone who knew nothing about olive oil or how important it is in their culture, I left feeling apart of it. One of my favorites in this city.

Fabulous experience! We left with a new appreciation of olive oil and its complexity. The setting is gorgeous and very well located. Georgios was very knowledgeable and passionate about the product.

This was such a wonderful experience. Georgios is extremely knowledgable and really was able to present the information in such a friendly and interactively manner that I felt I truly learned something new that will stick with me for life.
