Què farem?

We'll meet on our own terrace, with a great view on the Tuscan countryside. There, you will have the opportunity to meet the other classmates.

We'll move inside: talking about of our organic farm, our vegetable garden, our sustainable production systems, I'll introduce the schedule for the day , assigning your work stations and giving you all the necessary to cook together.
I'll talk about the quality and genuineness of ingredients we will use.
"Good and Simple" is the base of our cooking philosophy: one of our intents is to give to you the "tools" to choose the best ingredients needed, when you will be back home.

Our lesson is dynamic and include different experiences: cooking lesson, cooking show, food tasting, wine tasting ... and last but not least, also the friendly and funny social experience, with the other classmates!

After about 3 hours of preparations, you will start to taste, the 5 courses menù, wich include:
-appetizers
-two types of fresh pasta: Pappardelle and Gnocchi (or Ravioli)
-two sauces for pasta
-a dish with the noble "Chianina beef" and vegetables
-a dessert (usually, our famous Tiramisù)

I'm also a Sommelier, so, paired to each dish, you'll taste a different local wine I selected for this sensorial path.

The class will ends sitting relaxed on our amazing terrace (depending the weather), enjoying the dessert and the gorgeous view!

Arriving here wishful to learn, to have fun, to meet new friends, you'll leave with the awareness and the ability to prepare delicious dishes (to pair with the right wines), to impress your own guests.

Owner of Le Caggiole, millenary farmhouse and home of my family for more than 7 generations.
I spent many years with my grandmother learning to cook dishes of the oldest tradition, for our family or for the guests of our own Agriturismo.
Based on this precious cultural heritage, I studied the ingredients, their seasonality and sustainable production systems, as well as cooking and tasting techniques.

Following this passion, since more than 10 years, I have been Chef at Agriturismo le Caggiole and for 3 years, also a Sommelier.

The last 8 years, I share these passions by organizing cooking classes for my guests.

Podere le Caggiole: millenary farmhouse surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, home of my family for more than 7 generations.
The hall, setted up in part as dining room and in part as a kitchen workshop, is the oldest part of the farmhouse.
On the walls, original finds witnesses of our own story:
from the most ancient, stone crests found during the renovation works, until the most recent, ancient work tools used by our own ancestors.

It was a phenomenal cooking experience! Giacomo teaches his class how to cook simple but delicious Italian classics. My wife and I are excited to practice our newfound cooking skills at home!

Giacomo's class was so fun and informative! Outside of learning to make pasta, gnocchi, tiramisu and other Italian dishes, we learned so much about cooking in general. He shared techniques that we will continue to use in our every day cooking. The class is long, but it didn't feel like we were there long at all. We had a blast, and eating the food at the end was delicious and so gratifying! Giacomo is so passionate about cooking, and it shows in his love for the food and teaching others. I am so glad we took his class!

We had an amazing experience with Giacomo and his wife! He did a great job of explaining the background of his family and their cooking style and it made the whole experience even more memorable. I couldn't recommend this experience enough! Thanks again for a great time and next time we're in Tuscany we will be back!

Giacomo and Christina welcomed us into their home and empowered us to see the food we eat differently and to make simple, delicious dishes at home. My wife and I just stopped at the grocery on the way home from the airport, and we’re already using the skills and tools Giacomo taught us to plan our meals and pick our products. What an incredible experience—it’s worth planning a day to make this happen if you’re anywhere in Tuscany (visit Montepulciano after, it’s right around the corner!)

Giacomo and Cristiana were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us in to their kitchen and seemed to really love teaching us how to prepare our meal. Giacomo gave us valuable information regarding choosing the best ingredients and how and when to use them. The meal we prepared was better than I expected and the wine pairings were wonderful. If you are looking for an authentic cooking experience in this area, you can not go wrong with Giacomo and Cristina.

Giacomo and Isabella are welcoming, and the cooking instruction is real. Other classes may be more "drink wine and hang out, then eat food", this is NOT one of those. Giacomo and Isabella methodically walk you through (with you working with real product that you'll eat afterwards) the making of 3-5 dishes. Giacomo in particular is very precise, and will expect you to be paying attention and trying your best. Essentially, this is a real cooking class for 5 hours. The food afterwards was tasty, and Giacomo pairs each course with a wine. Great value, real instruction - highly recommended.
