In this class, you'll enjoy rare A5 Japanese Wagyu brisket prepared by sous vide. Sous Vide is the slow cooking of vacuum-sealed meat, vegetables, and other food in temperature-controlled water.

You'll learn how you can turn a more affordable, fattier piece of A5 Wagyu into something that melts in your mouth. Sous Vide can make you look like a seasoned pro to your family, friends, and loved ones. After only ONE class, you'll be able to cook stunning, world-class meals with little effort.

A5 Wagyu is found in only a few Chicago restaurants for more than $300 per pound.

Included for each guest:
(1) a 6-ounce piece of A5-certified Wagyu beef from Japan, prepared by Sous Vide for 96 hours.
(2) beer, wine, and spirits
(3) small course of vegetables prepared by Sous Vide.
(4) a creme brulee dessert prepared by Sous Vide.
(5) various appetizers

What we'll learn:
(1) how to vacuum seal properly & use the right temperatures/times to perfect your dishes.
(2) how Sous Vide can also improve other foods like vegetables, infused cocktails, yogurt, fermented products, desserts, and more.
(3) science of bacterial pasteurization so you can be sure you're cooking 100% safe-to-eat foods.

On aniràs?

We'll enjoy food and drinks at a warm, spacious condo in the West Loop. The condo is on the 2nd floor of a mid-rise building without an elevator -- stairs-access only. There is also a large balcony to step out to and enjoy a few drinks.

Sameer was a wonderful host. We felt welcomed immediately and enjoyed our experience. Definitely glad we did this!! I had never experienced or tasted Sues Vide before and I was open to the expeirence. Sameer knew the topic, clearly had been cooking and experimenting over time, helped us understand the value, ease, and great taste of food prepared this way.

I highly recommend Sameer’s Sous Vide class! It was super fun and delicious! We got to try all different types of meats and snacks and the dessert was for sure a highlight (+ the graham crackers). I learned a lot of about Sous Vide and I’m excited to start doing it on my own. Me and my three girlfriends felt right at home at Sameer’s place!

Sameer was an incredibly knowledgeable and a gracious host. The experience was more about learning techniques of sous vide than performing it. The conversation was effortless.
