Cozy Cottage, Mountain view

This nice, comfortable and relaxing cottage is ideally located in the golden circle in the South coast of Iceland. It's a great location to see the Northern lights /Aurora Borealis if the weather conditions are right. The cottage is one area and has double bed (160x200cm) and a sleeping sofa. We provide linen, towels and soap etc. Our kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need. We have a baby crib and high chair for your children. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.

Hekluhestar cottage at the farm

Take it easy in this tranquil accommodation in our farm, with a peaceful view ! The cottage can welcome up to 6 people, although 4 is the most comfortable. Nicely located, it is about one hour by car from Reykjavik, from the Golden circle and from Vík's black sand beaches. It is 15min away from Hella's bus station, which allows you to visit Lanmannalaugar. The farm has animals roaming around, and also offers riding tours. Its owners are always happy to share a lovely riding experience !

The "Old house" is in the center of evrything on Southwest part of Iceland. You have Geysir and Gullfoss about 40min away, the Seacret lagoon 10min, Laugarás lagoon is 20min and Friðheimar 35min away. The national park Þingvellir is about 45min from us. Mt.Hekla is in plain sight and the river Hvítá, glaiserriver from the waterfall Gullfoss runs by the house.

The property is a modern 4-bedroom villa on the bank of lake Apavatn & river Hólaá. Kayaks, fishing poles & permits included for guests. (Fishing is only permitted during summer). The house is located in Eyjafjöll, it stands alone and has great surrounding, In front of you the Vestmaneyjar, great mountains beside you and Eyjafjallajökull behind you. It is my childhood home and it was a privilege to grow up there. The house is old and not perfect but charming.
